PS2 Slim Controller Help.

Hey,

I just recently bought a Slim PS2 off ebay, seller said everything worked.

Got it in today, and whattaya know. Both controllers dont work. But im confused.

They dont work in a "Phat" PS2 either.. They are both Dual shock 2 controllers.

So I bought a used aftermarket, no name controller, and it works.

One thing i noticed is the 2 controllers I got with the system only have 8 pins, the no name controller has 9 pins? Would that make a difference?

Or are the controllers pretty much junk. They dont look abused which is why im stumped.

yep, first thing i did. Lady said everything worked when shipped.

Had my bro bring over another controller.. Seems that only controllers with 9 pins work with this system..

I dunno damn Sony...

It might be you got shipped fake controllers instead of official Sony ones.

all the ps2 controllers I've been through sometimes only work when they are slightly loosened (the controller connection to the controller port), I've used legitimate sony dualshock 2 controllers, a logitech wireless and a madcatz one.
