Hi there:)

I'm quite new to this forum, but since they liked my build at some dutch hardware sites, i wanted to post it here too.
(Already come here now and then for like 10 years, but never created account sorry :) )

My other build came to an end and didn't know what to improve, but my old desk almost fell apart.

Really want to thank Pascal for his pc-in-a-desk idea. After seeing it I couldn't even sleep that night :)

I started sketching it with Google Sketchup
After 9 hours of non-stop drawing it finally had some shape.

I'm also gonna use my old cooling again since it works superb.
It's a 1080 radiator under my floor from my house, right in the corner where my pc is.
My water temperature in wintertime is around 18 degrees, in the summer it's around 23 degrees.

Awesome workmanship. UV green wouldn't be my first choice of color but everything else is wicked awesome.

My only other mention is that you should really be wearing some #8 or 9 lenses with that plasma cutter. They are fun toys though :)

Edit: Is it normal for a 980 to have such a wide temp range? Might want to check the seating on that block. And what are the load temps?

It wasn't me cutting those holes ;)
For all i know those temps are pretty normal.
And if not im going to lap it anyway in a few weeks.
Load temps are below 60 degrees
Load temps of the 5970 are below 30 degrees

Epic... now all you need are two more 24" monitors and get rid of the 19"

How much time did you spend on this project?

Personally i was thinking of 19" - 30" - 19" ;)

I started drawing exactly 3 months ago

all i can say is "DANG!"

you still going to powercoat it black? or have done already?

Thanks all !

It still need to be powdercoated in black, it looks better in my livingroom. :)
And i chose for UV Acid green cause it lightens up the best, and it fits well with blue.

That's pretty sweet! Great Job! But might I ask why there is sand under your floor?

Thanks :)

The 1080 Rad is beneath my house in the crawlspace, it's pretty normal in the netherlands to build on sand i guess :)

like King Icewind, the idea crossed my mind and I’m sure others thought of it. but you sir made it real in an amazing way. great work.

Forgot to add these pictures.
