Been messing with FreeNAS for a while on some 3.5"ViaC3 boards I have and finally decided I was going to build another one of these. So without further ado, I present the RadNAS.
Specs:
Advantech PCM-9373F
667MHz Via C3
512MB Kingston PC133
32MB Samsung Compact Flash(boot)
40GB Seagate Momentus 5400.2
Onboard 10/100, audio, video, etc.
Modified PicoPSU for ATX mode on the SBC to work.
80mm x 15mm Evercool fan
Overall, I'm happy. Network jack area is oversized, screwed up when I laid it out, but caught myself before it was too late. Power jack ended up a tad close to the board inside, but it's not touching so no disaster. Now I need to find a connector for the header on the board that has the power LED and HD activity ID hookups. Once I have that I'll backlight the guage with an LED to show power on/off and rig the guage to show HD activity.
Then after that it will probably end up on the shelf next to the other mods that aren't getting used.
