processor question

i have the 3000+ venice nonoverclocked, i never want to overclock but will this proc. be able to handle future games

In a year, video card performance can double. You'd be lucky to see 25% improvement on CPUs in the same period.

I agree with Ecplipse the graphics card will not last long....i dont think you can even play some of the games out know on full settings with that card

Well i meant maybe just playable at a really low fps but some not here are a few:

1. Doom 3
2. F.E.A.R
3. Quake 4
4. Counterstrike:Source
5. Half-Life 2
6. Half-Life 2: Lost Coast
7. Battlefield 2
8. Far Cry: Killer Instincts

and more i cant b bothered to think about;)
