Problem with Software not installing...

Hey guys, I'm having this problem were certain software won't install on my machine. An examples of things that I've recently tried to install are: Doom 3, FEAR Demo, and Parition Magic Pro. The installer will open, and it will appear to install. It gets to 100%, says registering product, and then it will go to the next screen and say that the setup was interrupted before it could complete the installation.

I don't really know what gives, I haven't done any tweaks to my OS since I formatted. Any ideas?

What OS? Are you running security software that might prevent registry entries from being made?
