1st question.

I installed redhat 8.0 yesterday on my second hdd and didn't make a boot disk, So when I turn the computer on it stays on the asus screen, Tab and esc don't work. It doesn't even go to the post screen. Did i need to make the boot disk in order to boot every time?

2nd question.

So today I decided to just reformat the drive, so I hooked the linux hdd as slave to my xp hdd and when I do that the computer posts but then right after I get a "disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter" error. Can't you just hook up the drive as slave and format it through computer management in windows? I did before with the drive when it was formatted with windows.

When I disconnect the drive I can boot xp fine, I'm new to linux and this is really bothering me. Any help is appreciated.
