Probably a stupid question in regards to the temperature of my 280X

So, I bought a PowerColor R9 280X, got a good deal on it real cheap and all that. It's an awesome card!

One thing, though:

I don't know if it's just me upgrading from a bad card or what, but my last videocard, a 560 Ti from nvidia, would almost always idle around 40+C, and at load, it'd be at like.. high 70's, up to 80C.

This new card, idles at about 32C and at load, I have yet to see it top 56C (and it doesn't even normally even get that high!)

I don't have fantastic (or bad) cooling, so that just kind of weirds me out. Is that just how newer videocard are, or something? or is something wrong with the temperature measurement?

Depends on the cards cooler. Assuming the ti is reference and the 280x has a custom cooler, those results are to be expected.

That's a new twist, is my video card running hot enough? :p If it's the TurboDuo you're reaching the exact same temp as this review :)

hell just be glad it runs so cool....much cooler than mine...well at full load anyway....be happy:)
