Going to hold and see what Steam has to offer but I highly doubt it will beat 20% off. Just need to make sure I can play with friends who have Steam copies.

Why can't the Power Armor edition be in stock though? :(
Bethesda said that they are "extremly limited." Gamestop, Amazon, Best Buy, and Bethesda's own store all sold out in minutes.

Digital versions are not available to preorder yet. If I remember correctly, Todd Howard said it would be available to preorder this Friday, June 15.

Does Amazon allow me to install free Mods? I'd pay 20% more for that feature.

60 dollars seems like a lot for a survival game. I really wonder if 60 dollars worth of content is actually there.

for Beth games... I am use to waiting for a GOTY or Ultimate edition cause by them you would also have tons of mods to choose from.

Generally speaking bethesda hasn't disappointed when it comes to content value. It is always possible though.

This varies per person. For me as long as I can get an enjoyable 5ish hours of game play out of it, I generally consider that worth it for a single player standpoint. For multiplayer, as long as it doesn't feel like I am grinding to be useful and is fun right away I am okay with it.

Honestly I hate when a game gets to "200hours of content" because to me that usually means lots of walking and lackluster filler stuff. I would rather a really good 4-6hour experience that keeps me on edge.

Kind of wonder about the multiplayer aspect in that this isn't going to be a MMORPG even though it is online only. Seems the world is persistent supposedly and there will be a max of 24-48 players in any given world instance. Going to take a wait and see stance... I have a feeling that it'll take 2-3 months of updates/bug patches before I'd really want to jump in and explore anyway, so I'll wait on the reviews/feedback.

Yes, sheep, pre-order/pre-purchase games. The gaming industry has really progressed with their tactics and practices. Thank you, little sheep, your money is appreciated. Especially for a franchise installment that rapes and takes a dump on what made it great.

Sigh. So I need to break out the "don't preorder shit" memes? Seriously people, don't preorder. Games are digital, they don't run out of copies. Wait until it releases, have a look see at gameplay and reviews, and then decide if it is worth your money. Don't give them money ahead of time, you might be sad later that you did.

Looks like the key is able to be registered with Steam if the Q&A on the amazon page is to be believed.
"
Question:
Will this purchase give me a Steam code for the game, or a direct download?

Answer:
Once you get your physical copy of the game you can link the product key in steam for permanent access and download in steam.

Remember you have a until a couple of days after the release to get that price so you can wait for reviews.

Eh, I'd double check that because many new games no longer have that deal with prime. Over the past year Amazon has played around with what gets the pre-order/two week post release discount. After Bestbuy shutting down its game club deals a few weeks ago, I doubt Amazon will stick to their prime discounts. I was surprised to see this headline.

I am guessing they will continue to do it on big games like this since it keeps people buying from them. If they just charge $60, I will get it digitally, as will a lot of people.

Tried to order from Amazon but couldn't. However, Amazon did tell me that ...

I didn't realize that so many people who played Fallout 76 also play Pokemon games, because I always thought that Pokemon games were kinda stupid. Now I'm unsure. I mean, Amazon is a big company, so they must know more about it than I do. $180.00 seems like a lot of money, but it's not too much if I've been missing out on this great joy. I should probably pony up the dough, surely Amazon would know best.

Of course, they also tried to sell me extra-large condoms, so maybe they aren't so smart.

Yeah, I could see myself wandering the wastes, staring at my Pip Boy looking for directions to a Jigglypuff, and then walking into a radioactive nest of mole rats..

Platform: Windows 8

This item will be released on November 14, 2018.

Yeah, noticed that. Oh well, I've got Win 10, so I'll pass. that way, the on-line fanboyz will leave me alone.
