    MOBO

While I'm at it, I might as well post some mobos as well. I noticed that I kinda leaped over the 965 chipset series, but that's because I usually just spring for high end, or go as low as I can to save up to go high later. Midrange is a no no for me, if there are any requests I might just do some research on them and throw them in as well, but for now here are 945s, 975s, and some pt880's sorted by brand then price:

    ASRock
    ASrock 775Dual-VSTA
    (VIA PT880 Pro) 8x AGP, 4x PCIe 1x, 1x pcie 1x, pci 4x
    chiefvalue.com 55.99 + 5 = 60.99

    ConRoeXFire-eSATA2
Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 945P ATX Intel Motherboard, xfire kinda, 16x pcie 1x, AGIexpress 1x (same as PCIe 4x), 1x PCIe 1x, PCI 3x
    newegg.com 82.99 + 6.41 = 89.41

    ConRoe945G-DVI
    not yet available... full 16x PCIe 1x, 1x PCIe 1x PCI 2x, HDMR 1x

    Gigabyte
    GA-945P-S3
    ATX, 16x pcie x1, 1x pcie 3x + pci 3x
    ewiz.com 91 + 9.12 = 100.12

    GA-945GM-S2
    microATX, integrated intel 950 graphics, 16x pcie x1+ 1x pcie 1x + pci 2x
    ewiz.com 96 + 10.32 = 106.32

    Gigabyte 965P-DS3 +
    ewiz 144 = 144

    MSI
    975X Platinum Intel 975X SOCKET775 ATX ++
overclocks like crazy, plus lots of goodies.
buy.com not sure if this is the crazy OC'able v2.0
    187.99
royalbusiness.com this is confirmed as v2.0
    187.95 + 9.35= 197.30

    RAM

So i've started looking into ram now. Please keep me up to date as I'd really like to have a nice system for the best price. Just call me elCheapo.

OCZ Technology 2GB PC2-6400 DDR DIMM Memory Kit OCZ2P8002GK
    189.99- 50MIR = 139.99

    VGA

ACCKK!! i knew i shoulda bit on that x1800xt 512mb for 239... now it's 399, price mistake. lol. oh wells.

X1800GTO2 512mb (may be flashable to XTPE)
    newegg.com 239.99 -30mir = 209.99 + 6.13 = 216.12

I was just looking for a list like this. Saved me from spending hours going from site to site.
I've been having a hard time finding hardware sites that have these motherboards reviewed. If possible can you put a "+" or a "-" for overclocking features on these m/b's?

Thanks again and keep up this great job!

i'm not sure about much overclocking with many of those boards as they use cheaper p945 chipsets. They do overclock but not to any great extremes. For that, most of the time it takes a p965 or the 975's. I do know that the msi OC's like crazy, and everyone's had their eye on it. it links to a forum where someone OC'd a E6400 to amazing speeds. the other mobos are relatively new and havent been played with much. hope that helps a little.

i've seen the reviews before, thanks for reminding me aznjosh. woohoo! more research! ;) well it will be a little bit before i update it, as i'm kind of in the process of selling my laptop stuff, and repairing a friend's computer. so stuff probably won't happen much until i return tonight.

    oh yah... and thanks MDboyz

I kinda want to jump on this since I have a 500 dollar gift certificate from Tiger Direct but they're looking a bit spendier than the rest........I'd probably be better off selling it and getting cash to use at the egg or ewiz

I ordered one from them while it was $255 as well. I got my shipping and it said it will be here wednesday. Although I only just ordered my x1900xt today and haven't even ordered ram and mobo yet.

Picked up a E6400 and DS3 at zipzoomfly for $408 + $2.99 for 2 day shipping. I was really hoping that newegg would drop its price on the 6400 to something reasonable, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I think ZZF is everyone's best bet for allendale's right now.
