I dont know if this is allowed, but I know on other forums, they have it where you can hover over the thread title and a preview of the post shows up as a text box. Just wondering if you guys could do that here?
 
Think i remember this being asked last summer. They sed no, since any big changes to the system would mean even more downtimes (Cuz of bugs and glitchs...).
 
It is also aggravating, irritating and trashes up the thread. The vast majority of members and administration have voiced their opinion against mouseovers, active graphics or emoticons. It just isn't us ;)
 
How is it aggravating and trashy? How bout helpful and time saving? This would help a lot with shitty thread titles... I agree on animated emoticons though.
 
Maybe you should throw that in the FAQ as well MD?

Not that any of the n00bs take the time to read it :p
 
It's generally noted that if you don't take the time to search, chances are you won't read the FAQ either. Murphy's Law or something like ;)

The [H]ard|Forum is the DOS of forums. Plain, simple, and effective. If you try to do too much at one time, it's gonna crash and burn.
 
FYI, I did read the FAQ to see if it was mentioned and did not see it. I also was unsure of the search terms to use, so I decided to make a rational and polite post asking about it.

Very true, and personally...I prefer it this way. I frequent XtremeSystems almost as much as I do [H], and I'm on the news staff there, but the one thing that gets a little irritating at times is the active pics and ridiculously large sigs with animated emoticons and pics that everyone has. Personal preference, I'm fine with both, but forum browsing is a lot more streamlined and simple here at the [H]. :cool:
