Quick update....

Heard back from the doctor, I did have a parasite and is now being treated, however is not part of the cause of my migranes or anuerysms. I have also started to develop cluster headaches, but thankfully at small intervals (they were once every 2 months or 1 month, but have started to be in less intervals now).

Comcast still deflects all responsibility even though I now have corporate offices involved. I may be switching to DSL at this point (which is slower than cable, rawr, but at least it does what I want it to). Big downfall of all this is slower speed at higher cost. I have a new boxen getting ready to add to the WCG ranks and start pumping out some nice #'s for WCG.

Thats the update for now, waiting on more information from doctor involving another MRI I just had last week.

Partially good news at least then if they are treating the parasite. Regarding the cluster headaches, I feel for you. I suffer from bouts of them myself and the pain is horrendous.

Good to hear that at least one problem is now being treated. We wish you the best as they look to find out what is causing your other issues.

I had a netgear router cause this once. I turned off keyword filtering and it has been working no problem since.

Just finished another round of doctor's visits, this time with better but no wonderful news. They found a small growth on my skull that I thought was just a normal bump that I have had for YEARS! They took a sample of it and think it may be a tumor but will not know for sure until results come back in for it.

The migraines have progressed again to going from moderately painful but manageable to incredibly painful and debilitating. Unfortunately my work on getting everything set with my home PC has taken a major seat back now financially till I can deal with my personal problems.

In my own way, I applaud my wife for being behind me this whole time and my friends who have supported me, both here and around my home town.

I will update as more happens, but to be honest, i'm personally tired of all bad news and am looking forward to some good news for once!

i have 3 of those bumps on my head. they are just cyst's from in grown hairs. had 1 doctor think they were cancerous made me go through a bunch of tests and they ended up not being so I've just left em there. one is in the dead center of my head and 2 in the back.

so here's to hoping it ain't cancerous but i have a feeling they are just taking stabs in the dark in hopes that they can figure out whats going on. good luck man.

Update, the results did come back and it was a minor tumor, it wasnt growing anymore, and apparently has been a part of my skull since I was FIVE years old, sheesh. It is to be removed on Friday, and will have a quick recovery according to the doctor of about 3 days time, with the ability to go home the same night of the surgery.

I can only think of how lucky I am right now at this time since this will now be 4 major disasters avoided.

As for my points issue, comcast no longer admits any fault and is pretty much no longer answering my questions even though I have proof from past e-mails that they indeed are the issue for my upload woes. At this time I am looking into moving to another ISP since its not just this issue, but constant drop issues as of late that are making me despise them so.

I hope all is well with everyone else.

At this time I am in Atlanta, GA finishing up on a major server upgrade and will be on a nice 6 hour drive home later tonight to prepare for tomorrow's surgery.

Hey, we wish you the best of luck man! Glad to hear that it was relatively minor to what it could have been.

Yeah, you gotta ditch Comcast if you can though.

So, I had surgery on Friday, everything apparently went well, with only 1 minor complication, but it was minor and was according to the doctor, so minor that it wont do anything at all, just had a little more loss in blood than they really wanted.

So the tumor has been removed and doctor thinks I will be in good health.

I got home on Sunday night but was a weeeee bit woozy and light headed. Spent all day Monday in bed kinda watchen TV and playing Minecraft. Tuesday (today) more of the same. Tomorrow I will be back to work as I feel really good today and have only minute head-rushes here and there.

All in all, im happy with this outcome, and hope that it somehow is involved with my headaches, but the doctors will not be sure until my next checkup which is in 2 weeks.

I have a rig now ready to go, and am in hopes that I can gather up 2 of FLECOM's 450's to put in a rig and hopefully start mashing for some WU's to get back into the game. Comcast sucks ass, AT&T is expensive and Verizon isnt here yet. Sheesh!

Happy time for 2 days now, wife has gone out and gotten me Subway for lunch yesterday (mmmmm, meatball pepperoni) and tonight we are haven some good old fashion carbs in the form of Papa Johns pizza with some hotwings from Buffalo Wild Wings (courtesy of my mom and dad who are crashing for dinner tonight). I love my family and am happy they stick by me through hardships like this.

I feel a sense of pride and personal assurance in a way that I have such an awesome family who take care of me like this and will always be there for me or my family if the need arises. I wish everyone had families like mine just so there would never be any depression following hardships that befall people everyday, so I feel lucky as hell to have the family I got..... /end random family plugin!

I'm glad to hear that you are doing better, and hope that this is it for you. It sounds like you have a really nice family. My family tends to get a bit dysfunctional......

Aww yeah! Congrats man! I guess this means your internet issues are Komcrap are fixed?

Nice stable there, as it is nice to see more people folding with AMD stuff. I can't wait till Bulldozer finally comes out, as I really hope those Zambezi 8 cores will kick ass.

excellent news freaky

how is your health?

Good so far. Ive been relatively free from headache pain the last couple weeks since the surgery. Had a few minor headaches (normal ones) but nothing serious. The last checkup went great, my doctor is more and more confident that they found the issue and I should be "on the way to a full recovery". I have hopes that this is the truth, but I also never fully take what the doctors say at face value.

WFeather, Thuban's been here since, oh...... November I think. Just haven't had a chance to play with it a lot!

andgamer, I hadn't switched my service yet, so I'm still with Kommycast.... I will ask my friend over at Comcast today if anything was fixed or replaced between Friday and Saturday. They will want me to think that they didn't do anything, but he will tell me the truth.

So after some major pains and problems.... heh, I finally made a headway.

As of the last 2 months I have been having alot of pains in my abdomin and my lower half...... my BUTT if anyone needs to know the term im going for....

Anyway, went to doctor cause there is colon cancer in my family and wanted to make sure.

Last month I went in, had a colonoscopy (at 27, your never to young to have one!) and they found a pollup looking thingy and removed it for biopsy.

I get a call yesterday afternoon, and found out it was INFACT cancer, however it was not moving or spreading, and looks like the rest can be removed WITHOUT harm to me since it looks like they MAY have caught it early enough..... Uh this adds to my list of other things going on

Family history isnt pretty as it is

High Blood Pressure (my dad, grandmom (dads side))
Heart Attacks (my mom, grandmom (moms side))
Heart Disease (my grandmom (moms side))
Chronic Pnuemonia (me, my grandmom (dads side))
Colon Cancer (me, my grandfather (dads side))
Breast Cancer (my aunt (moms side))
Pancreatic Cancer (my grandfather (moms side, also genetic))
Diabetis (dad, grandfather (dads side) uncle (dads side))
Aspergers (me)
Autism (my nephew)

If theres any reason why I fold, this is the reason, more than anything. Add to this list my wifes family, and you see the reason why I fold for my son! As we get sicker and our younger ones inherit these imperfections, folding is more and more important, more than ever!

For those who fight, thank you. For those who we have lost in the fight, we miss you. For those who fight for others weather alive or dead, rock on. For the rest, its for the [H]orde!

Damn, that is quite the list.

Glad you caught it early.

agreed

I go in next week for surgery, they say I should only be out for a day MAX, cause it will be done exactly like the conlonoscopy was except this time theres a laser with the camera!
