Pretty [H]ot Hitachi 3TB $119, no rebate @Newegg

Best price I've seen on this drives..

I wish I could get my perc 5i RAID controller to recognize these :(

I have one of those, and it's faster than my 1TB WD Caviar Black 64mb. So far so good.

My 1 tb is doing just fine, but they are owned by WD (or was it seagate?) now so I doubt you will get a hitachi drive back under warranty. They seem to be clearing out the hitachi drives since they are always on sale it seems like. I got a 2tb off newegg for $55 shipped.

Welp, guess I'm not buying these then. My server uses a PERC 5i as well. :(
