Rebuilt my rig recently. Here is the result.

Where did you get your materials/tools from? Id like to do the same thing to my powersupply and cables. That looks amazing.

Also, can others recommend websites for the materials used for mods like this?

Nice job. I wanted to use a CM Elite 341 for my SO's build, but no-one has them in stock. After ordering one and waiting a week to find it was backordered (vendor storefront at Amazon said they had five) and only finding out because I contacted the seller after getting no tracking number, I just ordered a Lian Li for the SO.

I wonder what's up with the supply on that case, or if CM is discontinuing what is arguably the best mATX case in the $50 range. That'd make no sense to me unless they were replacing it with a USB3-capable model.

Thanks. Yeah, there's not too many Elite 341's around. I looked on Amazon and they have one left, but Newegg is sold out. Definitely a great case at that price.

I won't quote the pic again but I just wanna give props to the guy with the enclosed mobo and red lighting scheme. Most impressive!

I got no ratings last time :(

My case has no fancy shmancy cable routing holes but I've done the best I could.

frozencpu.com is a decent website for modding supplies. If u decide to order single braid sleeved extensions - get either Bitfenix Alchemy or NZXT. Stay away from ModRight ones.

If you want to sleeve front panel cables you will need some nice sleeving and heatshrink tubing. I boy from this ebay seller:

Good luck!

cable mgmt is by far the A05's worst attribute, but it's so easy to make a false wall behind the PSU.

For paint, i used Rustoleum aluminum primer/Professional Gloss Enamel. PSU cover (and all the acrylic covers in there) are just scraps that i heated and bent, then sanded/painted the underside white. yeah, could have gotten white acrylic, but i didn't wanna wait for it haha.

for all the plastic, i used Rustoleum "for plastic" adheres great, no primer needed, nice and smooth.

yeah, anything's worth a shot...i have an old case i cut up and mess with for practice.

i added a Swiftech Mini Reservior to my Antec 620. need a bigger radiator to get better cooling, but i was changing the factory tubes, so i thought i'd add the res at the same time. Just covered it with acrylic for a more even appearance.

Very nice. I don't think you can do any better than that in terms of cable management. Some day im going to get that case.

It looks great! What case is that? It's uncommon to find cases with black interiors for so cheap.

Pretty sure that's a Xigmatech Asgard. Could be off on the spelling. I built a system for my grandparents in that same case a few months ago. Great budget case.

Here is a computer I just finished tonight. I used a $20 case, what do you guys think?

Looks great! You worked with what you have. At first, the micro-atx board and no dedicated video card threw me off but i'm really liking it. great deal for $30 shipped, even better for what you got it for!

Maybe if you bundle up those lower wires to form a straight line along the bottom edge of the mobo, it would streamline the bottom half a bit more. it would also give your front audio connector cable more slack so it doesn't cut across so much.

@bigchieftaco, you routed some of the cables out the front (as it were) between the front panel and the case itself didn't you? (rather than behind the mobo) That's clever, looks good, tho I think it'd look better if more of the cables came in from the same direction (front header cables thru that hole the SATA cables use) and/or the main ATX cable was routed horizontally from the 5.25" bays... I'm just nit picking tho, I'm doing something similar with a cheap TT case right now.

PB4UGO, I concur with the remark "Sweet Jesus.". I generally do not like white cases. I'm all about the black but damn that's amazing. My hats off to you,

I do hope you are kidding. Every time I see those brown Noctua fans I want to puke.

Ah, you're right. That's a hell of a deal on a decent looking case with tool-free expansion slots and 5.25" bays.

Yeah it was a steal. I got it as a shellshocker about a week or 2 ago. I love this case. If it goes on sale again I am getting a couple this time. Definitely my favorite budget case. Oh, and you linked the wrong one, mine is the one with the orange in the front. ;)

wow, only $30?? that's worth ordering, just to mess with modding ideas.

It will probably go on sale again. I think its $40 atm with shipping. I would wait.

Thanks! Yeah, that's one of the things I need to mess with a little more, I didn't like how they turned out either. There wasn't much length left in those cables

I agree with you about the direction of the cables, I would look a lot cleaner if they all came from the same source. I actually snuck the cables inside the drive bays, not the front panel, then went under the drive to connect it.

I just installed some of Xigmateks orange fans onto the side panel.
