any better I can do? lol The 2 120.3 rads are overkill for the cpu only im waiting for nvidias new card to start watercooling that.

Sweet setup!

I love the hot glue action on the fans, :D . As far as wiring goes, I would reccomend the classic direct-solder type setup, It'll make your friends wonder how the hell the board is getting power (since all the connections are soldered to the back :p ). I have to do that sometime with one of my builds.

Jesus Loco isn't that a little overkill for just a CPU? :D

You don't need to flip any switches for the yellow Asus side. Simply add that side to the loop. I mean its not like the water will get that hot...especially with a rad that large!

Awesome case anyhow!

Nice rig Loco! First I seen a real photo of a dual UFO. What you could do to improve....mail it to me for inspection, I wont take long, promise! LOL. Seriously though, why not get an EK for that 8800 for the time being, it might be a while before something comes out to blow that away it looks like.

I really like that you can get 2 120.3's in one of those for the "too much is not enough" cooling theory.

wont take long...but when I get it back I wont have anything inside...

Not perfect (notice the PCI-E cable is kind of. . . "out there"), but I tried my best. How'd I do?

Loco (or anyone with that case), is that case basically a modded Yeong Yang yy-0221 without the cage? I like it!

Very nice! Very clean! 8/10 though, because you shouldn't ever use the Intel stock cooler lol.

Uhm, I can run 3.2ghz from 1.86 on the Intel stock cooler and temps don't break 60-62C at 100% load.. which ONLY happens if I run Prime95. It doesn't suck.

@sladesurfer - You have a sexy, clean-looking system there. Good job.

can someone point me in the direction of where the PSUs are? :(

Yeah, but I'm sure it sounds like a Hoover.

Exactly ;)

Now, if he had AMD stock cooler. . . I would cry for him.

Hahaha, I have a A64 3200+ with stock AMD cooler with only one vantec stealth fan and it is louder than my new rig which has something like 14 fans total =D

Ok heres my last revision. I posted this a couple pages back but I moved things around and added a little something.:)

This is the before pic. Main thing thats changed is the hard drive locations.

Overall view:
100_3144.jpg

Hard drives moved to the bottom which allowed me to hide the cables a little better:

As close as I could get with everything in view:

My first mod!:)
100_3149.jpg

My 8800GTX is just too hot and I can feel the hot air hovering around under it so I modded a side 120mm intake to blow the hot air out of the open pci slots. Didnt really help the gpu temps any but its not hot in that area anymore, and that was my goal. I may try reversing the fan to pull air out. Also, I'm waiting for arctic cooling to come out with a new NV Silencer for the 8800 series.

I know its not the best, but its alot better than my last case:

Lol, but I'm very happy with it and I've gone back into it multiple times changing things around, but I'm finally done. Thanks for looking!

I was more reffering to it's abilities as a cooler (well, A64 stock, i dunno about others). Mine was HORRIBLE, 40C stock speeds. . . . /cry

Well, I was only 11 when I built the PC so I really wasn't concerned much with temps or overclocking, as long as it played CS with no lag when full smoke effects are on (back in the dark aggeee lols). But that thing is loud as hell.

Hey! I was about the same age when I built mine lol. Now I have a job and stuff, it's funny, I bought parts to put that system back together for like $200 last month so I had something to use while I did a case mod.

Hi there.
New here so be nice :D
Just finished building my computer up in a nice new case...the Lian Li PC-V1000B Plus, and i bet you lot are fed up with seeing these cases :D
Anyway, did a little tidy up on the cabling this morning, anyway heres the photos.

And yeh...i really need to braid up that power supply. Anyway, could somebody on here offer me some help for tidying up the cabling a bit more ;) oh and yes, without slashing the case into pieces ;)

Thanks
Rhys

I had to cram alot of stuff in a mid tower case so here it is:

Any Suggestions? I already tried turning the HD around however the reals dont fit they would push out the front of the case.

Special touches: I spray painted the Combo Drive to match the case.
I led an air duct from front 3 5.25 drives blow directly over the momery/cpu.
My Cable didn't come with sleeves so i just used Electrical tape
Replaces all fans 120 fans with 6 120 Cooler master Silent UV Fans so it stays quiet.

Other then that My specs are as follows -
Intel E6600 Core 2 duo CPU
Asus Commando 965P
XFX 7900GT Extreme OC'd
2 Gigs of OCZ Gold XTC
2 Sata Hard drives
Sata Lite On Combo Drive 20X
Wifi Linksys
And the glowy thing under my Grapphic card is a PCI Fan that cools my GPU

MY GPU Runs at 44C idle
My CPU Runs at 31C Idle with stock cooler! waiting to be Oc'd!!!

I'm waiting for a connector to install my Audigy, till then I have Stock Asus SoundMax.

... So what do you guys think?

Looks pretty good, I have a couple minor suggestions (if they'll work)... do the hdd rails permit the hdds to be mounted with the connections facing the opposite side of the case? That can help a lot, along with trying to keep the USB/Firewire (whichever they may be) cables as close to where the mobo tray meets the case bottom as possible. It will help with the look of the bottom of the case ;) Also, is that cable about halfway up the motherboard that runs all the way to the back for front panel audio? Regardless, is it possible to snake that cable under the heatpipe? If so, that will help with the way the wiring across the motherboard looks. Another tip would be to try to keep cables from winding around/crossing other cables, it looks slightly jumbled where the cables come together near the main power connector for the mobo.

Thanks for the response! :)

I actually tried facing the hard drives the opposite direction but the plugs protrude making the case side bubble when closed. I even tried it with the L shaped wires so they would face downward mostly.

As I look at the rest of the cases mine has a lot of wires in it. I'm using the front panel connectors and those make up some of the mess. Ill try your suggestion of tucking them as close as possible, running them with the bottom edge of the motherboard. :D

As for running the wires under the heatpipe, theres not enough room for that... I could run them under the heatpipe above it, but not to its side, those are too too low. I wish some of the wires were longer so i could get really creative! :)

How can I clean up the clutter where the 4pin additional power connector, and all that bruhaha happens?

Can you move your drive down a notch to lessen the clutter to its left, and also give the drives top to breath, a lot of heat dissipates from the top.

You could use electrical tape on your wires to wrap them together, giving it a tighter fit.

:) Nice set up, whats your CPU Temp?

You need to tame that 24-pin connector by tucking it back behind the HDD/floppy cage. Find a way to move all the wires to the right in a concealed manner either underneath the mobo or behind the cage.

All my wires are located behind my mobo tray. I notched, and cut the mobo tray see: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1172457

Next chance I get I'll hide the bit 24 pin. Although the only cables that are "wild" there are the SATA cables... I can re-connect the SATA power cable again... It was a relatively easy mod.

PM me about how to do it further.. lets not clutter up this thread.

Something I did with the computer I just built for my cousin (seen here) is I ran a couple cables under the mobo itself. You just need to make sure the cables are the exact length you'll need, because most of the time the solder joints on the back side of the board will protrude enough to make it near impossible to move the cables around once the board is mounted.

I'm contemplating taking my newfound skills and attempting to go back to a midsize case. That or aluminum, because luggin' this big Silverstone case around gets tiring. I was lookin' at the newer Gigabyte Aurora case, it's aluminum and looks decent, though it's still a full tower. I'd also be attempting to make my power supply semi-modular... not sure how that one will turn out.
