Post your CPU idle temps and cooling used!

CPU Idle Temp: 27/c
P4 @ 3.4GHz (stock speed)
Thermalright SP94 w/ Panaflo 92mm fan

I don't know what my idle temp is because my computer is never idle (thanks to F@H)

Haha I hear that. But when I do turn folding off my Athlon 64 3200+ runs at 36C with stock cooling and AS5.

Ive got a 2.8 w/ 800 FSB running on a P4T533 so it auto under clocks it to 1.5 and i over clocked it to 2.5 (it was a free CPU... dont ask) and ive got it running on stock heat sink its idel at about 44 deg C

I think I'm around 38 C Idle. My heatsink is in my sig. Should be getting an Enermax 92mm today so I can put on my SLK900a. We'll see how the temps react after that.

Waterchill KT12A-L30 Kit (fans using 7-volt mode)

Room Temp: 24*C
CPU Idle: 27*C
CPU Load: 31*C

Idle: 118 degrees F
For cooling using thermaright SP-97
load: 134 degrees F

31C cpu 29C case on a antec P4 3.0C cooler.
34C cpu 32C case with load

room temp is 28C

hey hey people! he didn't ask for your load temps. what are you thinking? :rolleyes:

Some of you guys getting <36C. Looks like I need to invest in a new fan and heatsink.

It used to be 44C idle until I cleaned out the PC and vent area. Dropped 2C to 42C.

41*C idle, 47*C under load for 8+ hours, Silver Orb CPU cooler and 2 large fans in the case(about 8" :p ) one intake, one exhuast.

Stock CPU:

Idle: 33 C
Coolermaster Aero 7+ @ 3500 rpm

Overclocked CPU @ 2600:

Idle: 38 C

Overclocked CPU @ 2464

Idle: 36 C

Configuration:
- Lian Li PC65 Case
- Abit NF7-S Motherboard
- AMD XP 3000 OCed to 2400Mhz with Vcore @ 1.85 and FSB @ 200Mhz
- Swiftech MCW 6000A Water Block
- Swiftech MCP 600 Pump
- 3 1/2" Dual Bay Reservoir
- 1/2" ID Tubing; no elbows in system
- Black Ice Extreme II Dual Radiator; internally top-mounted
- (2) 120mm Evercool Fan @ 79CFM each pulling air thru radiator and exhausting out of case
- (2) Rear-mounted 80mm Panaflo Fan @ 40CFM each pulling air into case
- (2) Front-mounted 80mm Panaflo Fan @ 40CFM each pulling air into case

Idle Temperatures:
Ambient = 21°C
Case = 23°C
CPU = 35°C
CPU Power Dissipation = 100W
C/W = 0.12°

Load Temperatures: after (10) loops of Sandra Burn-In
Ambient = 21°C
Case = 24°C
CPU = 38°C
CPU Power Dissipation = 97W
C/W = 0.14°

Excluding ambient temperature, all other readings were reported by Sandra.

A64 3000+ w/ Swiftech MCX64-V and AS3
47ºC idle
57ºC full

I need help!!! What am I doing wrong? :confused: :(

XP-M @ 11.5 x 209 [1.675Vcore]
SLK800 + Panaflo H1A (39CFM) + AS5 (of course)

Exhaust: 2 x Panaflo L1A (21dba)
Intake: 1 x Panaflo L1A / 1 x (empty)

CPU/Case (idle): 42/25
CPU/Case (load): 47/27

I used to be at 43/28 idle, but after cutting out my 2 intake fan grills (yes, one of them is empty lol), my case temps dropped 2 C's. Not bad :)

42C idle, 62C full load on an IC-7, so reality might be somewhere near 34C to 56C.

Case temp idle is 32C. PWM 33C.

With an old swiftech HS / 92mm vantec thermoflow fan hackjob, 3 80mm vantec stealth case fans in an antec midtower case.

Going to go to a koolance soon to see how far I can push this 2.4.

P4 3.2 @ 3.68
Idle temp (With side panel off) = 31' C
4 60mm case fans
1 Thermaltake Subzero CPU
low noise

under load (FULL LOAD)- damn thing is a barbeque at 76'C with side panel on at the stock 3.2! (drops to 63'C with side panel off and room A/C on high)

Thermaltake SKull series case.

P4 2.66B @ 3.2 (160*20)

Idles at about 36C

(Hits 52-54 while running Prime95, but can stay under 50 playing UT2k4 if you're curious)

It's a Thermal Integration "Dr. Thermal" TI-A8736N.

XP 3000+ (333mhz) @ 2.3 ghz

CPU idle temp: 40*C

4 80mm case fans, a really cold room, and ducting from the blowhole to the CPU/heatsink

amd athlon xp 2500+ barton - 11x210 (~2.3ghz)
1.75v vcore
43c - idle
47c - load (prime95)

thermalright slk-900u/as3 with a half-speed 92mm tornado

Yeah, invest in a Phasechange unit...
:p

My Mobile 2600+ on water (MAZE4 w/AS5, DD Heatercore, Hydor L30) idles at about 33C. The great thing is that it only jump 1C or 2C on load.

AMD 2400+
4500 rpm fan supplementened by an additional 2500 rpm slot fan
Aluminum heatsink
idle about 42C'

Asus P4C 800E Dlx. P4 2.8 fitted with an SP-94 and 92mm Delta at 7 volts idle temp 31C.
Asus P4R800-VM P4 2.6 stock hsf idle 37C
Asus A7N8X Dlx. Barton 2500 Vantec AeroFlow idle 35C
Ambiant room temps around 26C

well, we/ all fans running on full(2 front intake, 2 exost, one blowhole non oporational at the moment, and my psu fans, im geting 35 cpu(rig 1) w/ AS5. i dont quite belive that though, b/c my case temp is 38 :p(though i do have a window fan that just hapons to blow air right onto the 7000 b/c of my mobo[the socket placement is almost the dead center of the board, and the huge hsf is right infront of the fan]). id say my normal av. is around 40 w/ case at 38. w/ all fans on low(7v)-the blowhole(my fan controler lost a channel, so i just unpluged the fan) 43.

btw, i have cool n' quiet enabled

athlon tbred 1700+ @ 2300 mhz.
running at 1.81 volts.
alx800 with 80mm generic blue led @38 cfm.

Pre 120mm (78 cfm) intake fan
48c idle
55c load.

Post 120mm intake fan
42c idle
50c load.

P4 2.4b @ 3.2ghz is 40c according to the IS7-E, but I gather that isn't entirely reliable :) Stock HSF, good case air cooling though (3out (back & top) - 1in (front))

Can hit 60c running Prime95 for 12 hours, usually about 48c playing a game.
