I got 5661 with my overclocked gigabyte 6800GT + NV 5.
PC specs:
p4 2.4 @ 3.0
Abit IS7-E Mobo
1 GB RAM kingston

My system is a lot like yours. I used 71.21 drivers with stock cooling to get 5,758 with an OC of 433/1147.

I got 6,124 with my eVGA 6800GT PCIe card. I have an NVsilencer 5 and i flashed the card to 435/1150. I also added voltage bringing it to 1.4. I have a killer rig, an FX-55 at 2.9 with OCZ rev 2 memory at 500 1:1 (TCCD).

YES!!!!

That is the highest 6800 GT score on my 3DMark05 list! Congratulations are in order sir.

My 6800 GT score is the fifth highest score. It seems my processor is holding me back.

I still have the highest 6800 GT score on 3DMark's ORB among computers with a P4 between 2.8 and 3.1 gig! I am very proud that I could do that only using stock cooling.

well our setups are almost idenical, there really is no huge difference between agp and pci express.

401/1100...and thats what the "detect optimum frequencies gave me...so I will update when I get better.

Are you guys only adjusting the 3D and leaving 2D stock, or do you keep the 2D and 3D equal?

I've wondered that too, I've only been adjusting 3D, what do you guys do?

I match them always.

Except for the one time I tried the Optimal Frequencies button.

Does changing the 3d without changing the 2d have any adverse effects?

Galaxy 6800GT with NV5 on by defult + 370/1000 are defult clocks . Now its running @ 425/1170 and idle is 43 and full 53 :)

Anybody here magically lose their overclock out of the blue before on their 6800GT?

Reason I ask. My new PNY 6800GT did 425/1200 on stock air. I added watercooling and could then easily do 465/1200 artifact free after the 1.4v bios mod. Temps are awesome at 32C idle and 35-36C load (measured using speedfan and charting the temps, although speedfan does show the temps at about 10C low like 22C idle). Did several benchmarks busting 14000 in 3dmark03 and 6000 on 3dmark05. Tried some different drivers like the new 75.90's and now I cannot clock like before. My system will freeze if I bench above 425-430 on the core now. Temps are still the same in the low 30's and I flashed back to 1.3v on the core, but the OC is now the same as with 1.4v. Went back to the 71.24 drivers that worked well before, but I get the same isues. Any ideas?

looks like its gonna be hard for me to get 6k with 6800gt with my outdated cpu/mobo (im thinkin of getting one this week). im getting 5k+ with 6800nu tho..

Sparkle 6800 GT + Zalman Vf-700cu + Arctic Silver 5 @ 440/1180, no voltmod. Temps ~60C full load, ~53C idle. Default Sparkle heatsink sucks... was getting 74C idle and 80+C full load @ 350/1000, so changed to Zalman cooler instead. Now I get 5596 3dmark05 using 71.84's :D

I can actually OC higher but card seems to throttle the core slower while in 3d (if I do 440/1200) or freezes (450/1180, 445/1200).... no visible artifacts either. Would it be worth doing bios volt mod?? Would that allow me to hit higher speeds??? Thanks!!

BFG Geforce 6800GT OC AGP

Stock clocks: 370mhz GPU and 1000mhz Memory.
OC'd clocks (optimal detected by 71.84 driver): 420mhz GPU and 1100mhz Memory.

100% stable at around 63C gpu/42C ambient while idling. And around 68-70C gpu/48C ambient under load. Temps are a tad high, so I'm going to install a 80mm fan on my side window to intake air right over the 6800GT. Hopefully it will lower ambient temps, and GPU temps along with it.

Here is my current data.
SLI stuff is in blue.

Do I need a screen shot for you to add mine? My 3D Mark is 5292 and my BFG 6800GT OC is clocked at 420mhz GPU/1100mhz Memory.

Holy crap! I love my EVGA GT. I've had oc's to 445/1220. Past a dozen or so 3dmark05's and hrs of gaming, but I lose about 1,000 points from 05. If I ever get the gpu water block, I think I might have a winner. Thats also on the stock bios. I tried the extra .1v, but it didn't like it at all.

NV Silencer 5 cooling right now, idle temps are 43 degrees C. Load is around 52-55ish

Bios volt mod @ 1.4V didn't improve my OC at all... core still (eventually) freezes running 3dmark 05 @ 450... memory seems a bit more stable but doesn't seem to be worth the 3C increase in temp...

No. You are on the list.
I must have added your score right after I took that screenshot.

BIOS was edited and flashed up to 1.4v

I usually bench at 425-430/1100 or so

it's good for 25,660 3dmarks in 01 anyways, probably would be higher if it wasn't for my poopy cpu at 2.1ghz :p

hmm anyone have some tips for me?

3Dmark2005 score 3824 :`(

Chaintech 6800GT 420/1120 agp drivers 7.1.2.0

Run 3DMark at the default settings otherwise you can't compare your score to the scores of others.
1024x768
No Anti-aliasing
Filtering Optimal

Also get a faster CPU.

I did it at the default settings again, and now my score is up to 5472 , with cpu clocked at 2.3ghz and 6800gt at 420/1100

Funny my PNY 6800GT is scoring great on 3D05 And I am not clocked nearl as high as many people are. My score is 5966

I have found when I OC my 3.0C processor to 4000 and beyond and use the 1:1 divider I can't OC my card as high. Only to 416/1134, I still get better scores though on the 1:1. When I use the 5:4 divider I can run it up to 427/1150. I get no better graphics score though and not nearly as good on the CPU score. Strange?

I just got Leadtek A400 yesterday. The OC util autodetected it at 417/1130, it runs fine at that. I haven't tried pushing it, yet.

My autodetect gets me to 391 and 1.8 on my evga 6800GT. i have gotten my core up to 415 with not much of a temp difference mut my ram artifacts at 1.1. Make no mistake i am by no means not copmlaining, but i am curious why my ram is so limited? like i said i am not complaining I LOVE MY 6899 GT!!! it is the best card i've ever seen. i upgraded from a 9800 pro and the difference was amazing

highest i've tried on my bfg 6800gtoc is 405/1.1 dont feel the need to risk going any higher on the dual blue led hs it comes with

Hey guys sorry I am a newb ... where do I go / what program do I use to overclock my video card? thx in advance

I finaly got around to fiddeling with my evga 6800GT PCIe card this weekend, I found it to be alot better overclcoker than my old AGP card. 450/1210 was my final verdict. The memory would not go any higher, and same gose for the core.

I played BFV for about 2.5 Hours, on it liek this, and had the comptuer running for about 30 hours straight over the weekend.. no bad I guess.

well you dont have to fear too much.
i just got done playing about 6 hours straight of WoW at max settings 1280x1024 2x aa 16x af, with speeds of 420/1.1 have had it higher before but just running there for now. stays mid 60's or lower, and its pretty hot here (central cali)

everytime i set it to optimal it gets the core at 415-420.
prolly not gonna notice the 3% or so diff tho
