So here we go... I have more that I need to dig out of storage but here’s a lot of old video cards that I’ve collected over the years... most are functional.

Post up your cards !!! (I know Erek has some)

What are they stored in? It almost reminds me of the original Playstation game boxes. Curious to see how you guys store or display them, that one picture of nine of them looks pretty cool.

Hey... Yes I have them all in display cases I got at the Container Store

Display case

Lucite Stand 5 inch version (scroll down)

Turn the box so large face is forward. The older cards fit fine... I had to prop some of the ends up with small bits of tygon tubing cut to make them level.. Just make it work however. :)

I have a pair of 6800Ultras sitting on a DFI LanParty NF4 expert board stored in a plexi box case and an Radeon 2900 somewhere.. I also have a fully working voodoo2 SLI rig with a gainward GF3 as the 2d card.. I need to keep inventorying my gear because holy shit I have a lot. I am turning a spare room I have into a sort of work shop with my retro PCs which will be on display and will be able to power them up and use them. I need to get some of those metal frame equipment racks!

My 5500 is different than yours, i notice differences on the board

Yup.. yours is AGP and mine is PCI.. both of mine (the box in the OP is loaded with my second 5500) are PCI actually.. I think the AGP ones are more coveted...

Special guest... TCCD DDR with 2-2-2-5 timings at 200mhz and sometimes higher with the right voltage.

I can post some pictures when I get back. Recently got an Integraph Intense 3D 100 (Rendition V1000) and a boxed Diamond Stealth II S220 (Rendition V2100).

I found four more... the Gainward 6800gt is a Golden Sample and is disassembled and missing the fans ... so that will be fun to refurb if I can find the fans..

On the lower right of this BFG 6800gt a buzzer which is used for high temperature alerting apparently. I had to look that up to validate it.

Who doesn't like a transparent red shroud with a silver flame job and tons of copper heat pipe action under the hood? The 2900XT is still one of the best looking cards out there.

I wish I had a PCI V5 5500, it'd solve my grief of trying to find a P4 motherboard with an AGP 2x slot that works for an experiment that I want to do. I found one on Ebay, only for it to arrive destroyed because the idiot seller left the 3 pound Zalman cooler attached during shipment and used a box 3 sizes too small. Fortunately I got my money back and the seller didn't want anything back, so I have a cooler and a CPU that I can't use on anything with a dead board.

The PCI version of the V5 5500 is actually more desirable among some collectors because it can be flashed with a Mac BIOS and used in Apple PPC machines. There's an alternate PCI Mac-only version with the DVI connector installed, which is even more desirable among PPC mac enthusiasts. Though there's a price to pay for the convenience, the PCI version of the V5 5500 is much slower than the AGP counterpart due to the limited bandwidth of the PCI bus.

Here's my 3dfx collection:

From top down and left to right:

Creative 3D Blaster Banshee 16MB PCI
Diamond Monster3D Voodoo1 4MB PCI
STB Voodoo3 2000 16MB AGP
Creative 3D Blaster Voodoo2 1000 8MB PCI
Canopus Pure3D II Voodoo2 1000 8MB PCI
STB Voodoo3 3000 16MB AGP
Compaq Voodoo3 2000 16MB PCI
STB Voodoo5 5500 64MB AGP
Voodoo2 1000 12MB PCI
STB Voodoo2 1000 12MB PCI
Voodoo3 2000 16MB AGP

How much to part with the S18 Pro? Money talks? Everything has it's price?
Not ready to sell yet. I’ve still yet to find another in the wild. I’d like to know if anyone has one.

My buddy had one of those cards a long time ago, it was really a terrible card.

The cooler was grossly inadequate and eventually the rear fan exploded from what turned out to be heat sinking from the copper base into the motor that compromised the integrity of the plastic. The other fan had visible cracks shooting out from the hub and was on the verge of failure when the GPU died and just displayed corruption on the screen.

Lol! Well I’m glad I have two then. ;). Yeah when I ran the one in my UV retro rig it was hot as the sun.

With me it is not so much a collection per say. More like I have not thrown anything away. You can see the progression. Tested all these about year and half ago and every one is still in good working order. Which is surprising since I overclocked the piss out of some back in the day. The Voodoo4 is currently running in my Win98/Glide box.

= Riva TNT > GF2 mx200 > GF2 mx400 > 3dfx Voodoo4 > GF2 GTS (asus v7700) > ATI Radeon 9500 > 6800nu (hacked to 6800gt) > 7800gs > 560ti

And just for kicks, my first and last cards. Paid extra for the Riva TNT in a pre-built box from Dell in 1998. And it cost over twice much as the MSI RX 480 gaming X did in 2016. My how things have changed.
