post pics of ur p180/p182/190s

Looks gorgeous with the matching copper sinks, but yeah, this is why most people don't change the stock HSFs these days unless they're watercooling: the current iteration of coolers are reasonably quiet and exhaust the air out the back, which is the optimal solution.

I'm loving all of the p180mini's in here, makes me want to buy one that much more! but first, to sell this motherboard, so i can buy a Matx...

my contribution to this topic - been following this thread for a while - some great pictures and advice - a lot of which inspired my rig...

it's humble beginnings:

Hope you like it - sorry about the picture quality... :D

Cheers,

Matt

*Edit* I should have said - it's a swiftech h20-220 Apex Ultra kit, - with Zalman VGA cooling blocks and a secondary Thermaltake (sorry for swearing) single radiator.

Flow goes from Reservoir - to pump - to cpu block - to single rad - to vga1 to vga 2 - to the double rad and then back to the res.

Daytime Idle temps have dropped by about 10 degrees C. with everything running at factory speeds...

I have an Intel 6850 with an Asus P5n32-e SLI and Kingston Hyper-X ram, so next step is overclocksville...

How did you go about making the custom cables?

I have a corsair PSU and need a similar cable

Asked corsair if they sell the plugs but they apparently don't

Most of you have clean wiring in the P182.. I still can't achieve the perfect clean wiring...

Nothing special, just a lot of hard drives. Getting a new video card, CPU, and motherboard soon so it's all going to get redone. If you want to gain some hard drive slots back you can get brackets to change your 5.25 in externals into 3.5 in for some hard drives like I have in one of my pics.

Looks like I have the first 183 (in this thread :p)

The fan mount dividing the lower chamber will definitely not be missed as well as the front firewire port. Having more open fan doors, open drive bay covers and the esata port are most welcome.

My only two gripes are that I wish the front panel audio cord was significantly longer and that they allow more room behind the motherboard tray for cables. The enlarged plugs on Corsair power supplies definitely have a hard time fitting behind there.

Its a sweet rig. Now hes looking to throw together an AMD/ATI rig with their top of the line stuff :[
...waste of money on AMD/ATI but he wants to see what they have

Brand new i7, water setup to come.. Debating painting the chassis black as well, we'll see how bored I get.

what kind of screws are needed to fit hard drives in the middle bay holder of the p182 (that apparently holds two hard drives) .. I have the 4 in the bottom filled... and I thought two more went in the middle part but I can't seem to find any good way to mount them correctly

Just put together my first P180 Mini. Love the case, but I haven't done anything special with it yet.

Hi all,

Seeing some nice rigs here in the Antec thread, so I'm just contributing to this! I decided to updrade to a quad core rig, bearing in mind not to burn any large holes in my wallet while doing so. Unfortunately the Intel i7 build was out of the question, so I decided to head down the AMD avenue again.

My specs can be seen in my signature:

looks great man, that window trim on the bottom right is the only thing that doesnt look right

Hey everyone, I think this is my first post, but i've been reading a lot of the threads on HardForum for quite some time. I got my P182 back in april and haven't done anything really exciting with it except put my shardware in it :p! I've recently decided to paint the interior in matte black. This is the first time that i've ever done any sort of computer mod, although i'm only painting it so far(no holes drilled... yet ;)). So far i've only test painted a 5.25 drivebay tab... and am just waiting to clear-coat(It's all matte, no glossy) the upper HDD caddy, which wasn't in use. I'll post pics as the project moves further along... I'm hoping to get a lot of it done this weekend before the weather turns sour! For now i'll just post my specs, so that you can use your imagination until I get some pictures up!

Case: Antec P182 Gun Metal
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE
Mobo.: Asus M4A78T-E AM3 DDR3
Memory: 2x2GB (4GB) Corsair XMS3 DHX DDR3 (Can't remember exact specs, but it has the silver heatsinks, I think they are disco. now)
GPU: Two Sapphire Radeon HD4870s 1GB in Crossfire
PSU: Corsair 750TX
HDD: Two Seagate 7200.12 500GBs in 1TB RAID 0
Optical: Sony BDU-X10S BD-ROM
To be installed after painting: CoolIt Domino ALC (Sealed System CPU Water Cooling)

I'm pretty certain I will be either attempting to make my own window or purchasing a precut P180B sidepanel, so I will also most likely be adding a custom made white LED array to light my case. I just love all the cases i've seen so far, I can't wait to show off mine once it's done! :p

Just finished rebuilding mine, after a new power supply, and painting the interior black. I think it turned out pretty good. Also just finished my window mod as well.

Think its time for a link to that wallpaper :p

That P180 with the clear front door mod is SICK. Props!

I agree completely about needing more space behind the motherboard and the Corsair plugs, not having a modular version I'm having trouble getting the back panel back on! I'll have another go tomorrow and see if I can't do it better, but your photo has given me a bit of help - I didn't think to stack the unused cables at the side of the psu like you did, good idea!! I'll post some pics when I'm done, maybe I can get in as the second P183 in this thread!

P18X series is BABIES.

Some P190: ('scuse the dust, I was opening it up to clean 'er out)

I've painted a few cases before, but can someone tell me what the surface of the P183 is like for painting? I want to do a glossy orange on the outside, no windows.

Here is my p182 with my current i7 system in it right after I finished the build.
http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff308/goofazoid/100_0495.jpg

here it is after installing an after market cpu cooler:
http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff308/goofazoid/murgen install/18.jpg

I have had this case since 2007. It started with a C2D system in it, but sadly I have lost the pics of the first build, and the custom bracket I made to hold up the VGA cooler (also after market) I was using.

Even more sadly, due to the heat from the i7 and the gtx 280 I am moving to a newer case that has better air flow. (CM Storm Sniper)
I did everything I could to make this old friend work with the new hotter parts...I put in a 120mm fan infront of the upper drive cage and removed the upper drive cage, then when that was not enough I put one of these in 3 0f the 5.25 bays.

Still not enough. :(

I am one of those weirdo's that keep original boxes so I will be making a trip to storage this weekend to get my p182 box, and then once it is safely packed away (still have the packing materials too) I will take it back there until I need it again.
