Possible to create a JBOD volume with two SSDs, where one is the boot drive?

I've got an 840 Pro 256gb as my primary boot drive, but I'm already filling it up. Can I add a second 512gb drive to create a spanned volume through Windows 7 even though the original drive is the boot drive? I've seen tutorials where they add two extra drives and span them as a separate volume, but not to the primary drive. Thanks!

If this is because of the Steam folder like you indicated in the other thread, Steam supports multiple game directories.
You could just install some games on a second SSD.

If I remember correctly, Windows cannot boot from (software) spanned or striped volumes.

Yeah, mainly the Steam folder, but I've also got a few other things that take up some space too! I just hate seeing a few 10s of gigs of space left on my drive. Though the most economical solution would be to delete the games I'm not playing and redownload them as needed, right? :)
