Poor wifi and lag on PS4 pro

My router is downstairs but both my phone and laptop get great signal and can max out my internet speed and have pings in the teens. My PS4 pro, on the other hand, fluctuates speeds and latencies wildly and multiplayer is just all sorts of godawful. I use to have no issue but I'm not sure why maybe a bad update or maybe that time I took my PS4 to my friend's house and his house has cats and cat hair everywhere?

Try putting the PS4 vertically and seeing what happens. The other option is to rotate the antennas of the wi-fi. Also, routers/wi-fi adapters should always be at the highest point in the home, not in the basement.

I'm pulling about 10-15 MB/s (that's bytes, not bits) downloading Uncharted: Lost Legacy and a Jak and Daxter update right now on my Pro on AC WiFi in my basement (through a floor and wall about 10ft from my AP). I don't play online games on it though, so I can't speak to latency issues. Seems fine to me otherwise though.
