I use Mediaportal for TV/DVR and XMBC for movies. I have a TV/movie server running a Mediaportal backend with 4 tv tuners and 5.5TB of storage. It can record 4 TV shows at once, plus stream recorded shows, movies, or music to any other computer in the house. I use the BleazleWide V8 skin on the frontend. If I were building a single seat DVR, I would use Windows Media Center because the interface is slightly better. But because it does not let you stream the live broadcasts to another computer, I switched to Mediaportal. For XBMC, I use the Aeon MQ 2 skin.
 
myHTPC with ZoomPlayer. Old but works for me as I just watch movies shared from a file server.
 
OpenElec XBMC with Aeon Nox skin running on a Shuttle XS35GT. Works like a champ!
 
Mostly use TiVos with one Win 7 PC running Media Center with a Ceton InfiniTV 4 via extenders.
 
I use easy switch to go seamlessly between xbmc and WMC since I use sickbeard, couchpotato, and have a centon infinitv 4 with FIOS 50/50.

I use Aeonskin on top of XBMC.
