PNY Optima 120GB SSD SATA III $39.99 TODAY ONLY!

For a low capacity SSD, this is probably about as good of a price as anyone is ever going to get. Usually it's the ~120GB SSD's that have the highest $/GB ratio. This one is only 0.33$/GB though.

For comparison.

On a related note, Newegg seems to be selling some of the higher capacity variants at very good price/capacity ratios as well. Something I noted while looking at SSD's on PCPartspicker in general.

Sitting on a 960 Crucial myself... so I never really feel the need to bite on any of these.

Was OOS at amazon when I tried to order just now.
Ordered from BBY to round out this little G3258/Z97 microcenter combo I threw together on a whim. Having the OS on a platter drive has reminded me how much I hate that setup.

Thanks OP!

I've got a 240GB Optima as the sole drive in my HTPC. Been over a year now and zero issues. Great budget drive!

Just got my confirmation from Amazon. Estimated delivery date : Thursday, May 14, 2015

I'm sure that's just based on their standard inventory replenishment rates. Having sold a bunch of these after pricematching I'm sure amazon will bump their next order and get your ssd out asap.

I thought about it, its a DAMN good deal. But I already have SSD's in all my computers and the one that only has 64GB really doesn't need anything bigger for what it's used for.

Yep, just got a update. ETA is now April 3. That's more like it especially since I have Prime.

I have one of these in my laptop. While it's not the fastest drive out there, neither is my Dell D630. I get good read / write speeds, uses less power and was cheap. Does what I needed it to do...

I ordered these on Monday, March 30th. The estimated shipping date was Friday, April 3rd. The estimated deliver date was Wednesday, April 8th. They were at my door waiting for me when I got home last night :)

Hard to believe like 4 years ago I paid 10 times this amount for a 120 GB OCZ SSD.

I remember when I paid $245 for my 256GB 830 Pro it was considered a price mistake, the 128GB drive was supposed to have been pictured in the ad for $245 (as a sale price!)

With 3D flash on the way, I hope this deal is going to look similarly bad in another 4 years.
