PNY GTX 480 : RVCGGTX480XXB Any good?

Newegg has a Recertified PNY RVCGGTX480XXB graphics card for $419. It's a pretty reasonable price I'm just wondering about this particular model. Can't find much via google.

Anyone have any info? Also, does PNY give warranty service on recertified cards?

Isn't a recertified card just an RMA return that worked on their test bench and they returned back to service? It's a hell of a deal for a 480 though.

I'm a fan of refurbs... but $420 isn't much better than NEW cards after mail-in-rebate.

I'd also say go with ASUS, MSI, EVGA, or Galaxy over PNY.

ya i wasn't going to pull the trigger just to save $20....so I picked up a EVGA 470 instead. $319 wasn't a bad deal.

I pickup a re certified PNY GTX470 , newegg sale . It has a small sticker on the back stating it was refurbished. I have had no problems using a PNY card . My current system has a GTX260 from them that is 2 years old , without issue .

You can get an new Galaxy gtx 480 at tigerdirect for $450-$50 rebate =$400 shipped. So not sure I would call a refurb for $428 shipped with a 90 day warranty reasonable.

although the benchies may be on your side, I'd much rather have a one-card rig than an SLI or CF setup. Less stuff to go wrong, no scaling issues, etc. But now we're getting into another discussion entirely
