I want to know what core temps you are getting @ stock speeds for your q6600 if you are on air and using the thermalright ultra 120 extreme.

Thanks.

I know you wanted stock but my Q6600 B3 running @3.0ghz with a slight bump up in voltage,a Scythe S flex fan @ 1000rpm is folding with 2 instances of SMP (all cores are stable at 100%) and core temps are 46deg C.

C1: 23 deg
C2: 25 deg
C3: 21 deg
C4: 23 deg

See sig for details.

Mine varies dramatically based on ambient temp (all temps in CoreTemp).

Idle A/C on - 32C
Idle A/C off - 50C
Load A/C on - 50C
Load A/C off - 70C

All temps in a Lian-Li A05 case which doesn't have good airflow :(.

I have a b3 q6600 @ 3.2 w/ 1.4v
idle 44.44.44.48
load 66.66.69.69

Idle
Asus Probe 37-39C
Core Temp 45 45 44 44

Load
Asus Probe 51C-54C
Core Temp 61 61 59 59

My temps are high then. I think I'll remount the heatsink.

I'm getting 40 40 35 35 on idle @ stock speed. Used to be lower. It must be my ultra slide movement when I hit it last time I opened my case to reset CMOS (unrelated problem).

Will add a 63 CFM fan to the side too.

I reached 3.2(8*400)GHz before. and my load temp were 69 68 65 64. I think if I overclock to 3.2 now core temps will go >70

Please continue posting. It is nice to compare.

Right this moment, 36/36/37/34 idle in CoreTemp with a Yate low speed on the TRUE. Load is somewhere in the low 50's.

G0 at 3.15GHz (running at stock voltage so there isn't much a difference).

Ambient: 74F (23C)
Idle: 36C 34C 32C 31C
Load: 57C 57C 52C 52C

I'm getting my temps at 3.6ghz... I'd check your heatsink mounting and case air flow...

believe when they say that the ambient temperature effects the temperature by a good amount. I have a G0 3.6ghz @ 1.46v Ultra 120 (non extreme). When the room is about 80+ F, my load w/ Prime 95's Small FFT rises to about 70C. But air conditioned at around 70 degrees, it will only reach about 64 C at the highest point. Idles at arond 35 C. Just some food for thought when looking at everybody elses temps.

bad ideas, 3.6, 1.42V, prime closed room and heater clicking on (thermostat is downstairs)...

needless to say I failed prime after a good 10 hours and my room was a tad hot...

SpeedFan - 32/32/24/28

Antec 900...I don't have a fan mounted on the CPU heatsink yet...I tried to put it on wrong and I screwed up the mounting wires...I'm gonna try to get new ones.

B3 @ 3ghz
vCore 1.23v (as read by CPU-z 1.41, agrees with SpeedFan 4.33)

Mostly Idle:

0: 42c
1: 42c
2: 37c
3: 38c

Load, readings after 10min on Prime:

0: 63c
1: 63c
2: 59c
3: 58c

I don't recall specifically what I set vcore in bios but I think it's 1.268v.

Running a B3 with Zalman 9700NT; Zalman grease applied, Antec900 case. It's at 3ghz.

Core Temp (idle)
Core 0: 45c
Core 1: 40c
Core 2: 37c
Core 3: 39c

Core Temp (load with Prime95 in place large FFTs @ 4 threads after 8mins)
Core 0: 58c
Core 1: 54c
Core 2: 51c
Core 3: 54c

SpeedFan 4.33 (idle)
Core 0: 30c
Core 1: 25c
Core 2: 24c
Core 3: 25c

SpeedFan 4.33 (load with Prime95 in place large FFTs @ 4 threads after 8mins)
Core 0: 43c
Core 1: 40c
Core 2: 36c
Core 3: 39c

Any idea why the discrepancies with the temps? Gonna go run Everest tomorrow and check that for cross-reference.

GO 3.2 @ 1.3v in bios
Ambient: 22C
Idle: 35C 33C 32C 32C
Load: 58C 56C 54C 54C
Coretemp (.94)
