Playing Farcy 1 Theyre shooting me through the walls help!

Well I just bought this game again off steam so its all updated with the 1.4 patch and I'm at the 4th level i think and now the badguys are shooting me through walls like they have xray vision or something . They dont shoot through foliage though. I haven't played this game since around the time it came out in 04 so it was either version 1 or one of the early patches. I'm using the widescreen FOV fix too http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php/Far_Cry. Any one else having problems like this?

I had the same problem. This is an unofficial patch, but it worked on the Steam version for me.

I had this happen to me a while back and 1.41 didn't help.

They can also see you hiding in bushes, 400m away.

didn't fix it in farcry 2 ... I had someone shooting me THROUGH a very large boulder...took me a while to figure out what was happening until I saw muzzle flashes coming from INSIDE the boulder.
