Planning on buying Asus G73JH-S1

I know there are lot of threads about this laptop but non really answered my quesiton so here it goes.

i see many sites showing difference between A1/A2 and X1/X2 but what about the S1 sereis and also some other series (QM and some other with big numbers.)

Few buyers on newegg did found problems on their asus but only there i see buyers who had problems about 20% of them, other sites had litterly 2-3% or no problems on their G73 at all.

Also the video card problem, is see quite a lot of people talk about it, but i've not found one decent post online for that and only few videos on youtube.

-4x Blu-Ray Read/8x Super Multi Combo Drive

Oh and someone else is paying for this (1k is the budget and rest is me) so if you thing buying soemthing else with few $$ up or down is better let me know

I've never heard of the S1 model. Do you mind telling us where this model is offered?

go here they customize laptops and the forums have been talking about the g73 a huge amount, I almost got one too

I guess people here expect more out of their laptops so they complain more if things don't work well.

The specs look solid. Do you know what's wrong with the video card?
