Pizza Hut Korea is jumping on the robot bandwagon by putting into service a little robot called Dilly Plate that can autonomously bring up 22 kilograms of food to your table. The Koreans aren't the first to use robot in their restaurants, but this does show that robots are going to continue to make inroads into the industry. I suspect casual dining will go to the robots before you know it. I wonder what the overall operating cost is for little guys like this compared to human waiters? The robot, dubbed Dilly Plate, was unveiled at one of its stores in western Seoul on Monday for a two-week test run, marking the first case of adopting such technology in the country's dining industry, the company said.
