Move away from purchasing content towards ad-supported content, like over the air television... And if the market shifts back towards people wanting to purchase content, then offer that, or better yet, offer both. Free porn with ads all over the place (much like the illegal websites giving their content for free do) or ad-free sites that you pay upfront for.

Stupid me..Localization of porn films..I have no idea why I bought Lost Angels 4 Wanda Curtis when I could find it free and uncensored on the net. Japanese DVDs and Blu-rays are expensive as hell anyway...

I don't believe in paying someone to do something that I do for free unless it somehow benefits me or is otherwise a convenience unto me.
ex: I could make a burger at home, but if i'm feeling lazy, I can go to mcdonalds or burger king.

So DVD sales are down. Ask Jenna how much her website made (clubjenna.com) last year. I heard rumors of upwards of 30 million dollars.
I don't think she's hurting if thats her income. Last I checked, she isn't even in porn anymore, and she still can make that kind of money. I think the reality of it is, that the people going into, or into porn today don't have the star power, or just plain want to watch desire that stars of yesterday had.
Its not that porn itself is dying, its just making money in other locations, DVD sales are down, but I bet you overall, their income statement shows net gain, because more people are renting/streaming, using websites etc etc.
The "tubes and torrents" as Ron put it, aren't killing the industry. I've checked a few of them out, they suck, horribly, they're garbage, most of the stuff on there is poorly encoded trash made by a bunch of shaky cam shits that wouldn't know how to operate a video camera if someone had a gun to their head. If thats your definition of "quality", hey, have at it, I frankly think the quality is crap.
