Sorry if this answers in the sticky thread but I cannot find it :/
OK ive had this drive a little while and ive installed winxp / other apps and games with the drive.
I dont think anythings changed since ive had it, now if i burn a CD it burns fine, ejects .. then if you re-insert the cd the drive changes from 'dvd-rw drive ' to 'cd-drive' in my computer and you cannot access the files on the disk, all checked on another machice as burnt properly!
This was also the case on one of my driver cds so I dont think its an isolated problem with my cd-r media
im on win xp pro with sp1 installed, barton 2800, 1gig ram, 120 gig hdd, floppy in a shuttle fn45 .. radeon 9800 pro
fairly crap wording all round, so incase ive not described things properly - the drive wont recognise cds!
