Philips Curved 5120×1440 32:9 49 inch Monitor

Looks like Philips picked up the ball after Samsung dropped it with the 1080p superwide. Too bad the article states this one is aimed at professionals, so might mean no Freesync 2 like the Samsung version.
 
Well if it does 144hz... Might be interesting. VA panel though and no mention of the critical specs we want to know.
 
Wow, 600 nits and 5000:1 contrast, those VA panels must be nice . Will be glad to watch the youtubers review this one, no way I have the pockets for it.
 
It has 921,600 fewer pixels than a typical 3840 x 2160 4K display: 7,372,800 pixels vs 8,294,400.

If it's 48.5" diag, the screen is 46.7" x 13.1" and 109.7 dpi.
If it's 49.0" diag, the screen is 47.2" x 13.3" and 108.54 dpi

It's interesting.
