Anyone with glasses using these comfortably?
Anyone with glasses using these comfortably?
I do, also. They are really as comfortable as can be wearing glasses. They don't squeeze too hard on my head.I do ... not even thinking about it until your post ... lol
I had to try it right now ... and they are very comfortable
Games, music, everything.
On second thought -- if you would 'probably die' if you experienced any loss in clarity/definition over your Sennheiser 555 - don't stray off the reservation. I mean death is a pretty serious consequence.
Considering buying these to replace my Sennheiser HD485. Out of stock on Newegg though and they're $75 on Amazon... Not sure I want to pay $75. Anyone have any suggestions for closed style for that price range? I see the monoprice retro's but I am kind of under the impression that they aren't as good as that video suggests, especially the build quality and stock pads... Mostly I use my headphones for gaming.
I might buy a pair and skip the earpads at first because they're only $18.... but the earpads are like double the cost of the headphones lol.Buy the pads that he suggests or any multitude of other pads that fit it (yes, there are other options). These are a great set of closed cans that have a large sound stage and excellent bass (both things to look for in gaming headphones).
Bought an open-box pair on eBay for ~$25 shipped to play with.I just ordered an Open Box SHP9500s from newegg for $41 shipped. Pretty happy about that price. Hope they come in good condition! Says standard return policy so we'll see how this goes

Sounds pretty decent to me (compared to my usual Denon D600 and AKG K550), but definite sound leakage in and out.
I know, that's why I bought a pair cheap to play with.Well, they are open headphones, so "sound leakage" is a given.
I got my open box special for 41 shipped off Newegg. Pretty sure it was never opened and was returned because the box was pretty badly damaged. No damage to the headphones though. Been using them and I'm pretty happy. They get fairly loud and sound solid overall. Can't best this for 41 bucks I don't think.Last day (22nd) there on sale at newegg for $57!
Amazon has thrm for $75!
Got my pair from newegg yesterday and there super comfy and awesome!

I will swap you my ( pretend ) Audeze LCD-4’s for your ghetto box set.
How did he fuck over his patrons? I can't sit through that guy's videos he just rambles for several minutes while making hand gestures and shaking a his head aroundI wouldn't link z's vids, he just fucked over his patrons and is kind of a doucher.
that's used right? Still a good price I suppose.Sennheiser HD 598 for $55?

It is the Amazon returns so they sell them in the Warehouse Deals section. The extra 20% off is really cool also. You can call and inquire about the warranty on the item that you want to purchase from there. Last time I called about a 1080Ti, I was told that Amazon honored the full manufacturer's warranty on the item. But like I said it is best to call and ask. ; )
I think i'm an idiot, someone help me out here. I purchased the headset and MIC in the OP, and there is only a single plug that connects to my PC for both... I assumed I plugged that into my PC headphone jack, but my MIC doesn't work! I assumed the mic cable plugged in to a different area on the headset and I would have 2 cables plug in to my PC. Anyone know a solution?
You may need a splitter like this: https://www.amazon.com/Maeline-Fema...id=1522547955&sr=1-5&keywords=3.5+mm+splitter I got the vmoda and it has seperate earphone/microphone jacks.
After using these for a few days, I think I may have to return them. They sound great but the issue I am having is that way too much sound gets picked up by the MIC while gaming. All of my buddies can hear my game sound leaking thru, I have to turn the volume down extremely low for it to stop happening. Unless someone has a fix?

Not sure how loud you're playing, shouldn't be THAT noticable. Might want to go with a closed set of cans at that point.
These do have quite a bit of sound leakage, more than my HD590s I would say. At work when I use them even if my sound is pretty low, people nearby can still hear it somewhat.

Ended up getting a pair of hyperX cloud alphas. Returning these tomorrow. They sounded great and were super comfortable otherwise!
My son loves his HyperX's. He sleeps with them much to my chagrin. They've held up great so far. He's listened to my high end cans from dynamic to electrostatics so he has an idea.
