I got a pm about there being a pinmod for the Pentium 4 Mobile chips that prevent it from running at it's speedstep speed of 12X.

I've looked on google and still cannot find anything on it, Anyone have some linkage to a tutorial or information on it?

Yeah, I'm looking for the same thing too. Is such a thing possible? My capped 3.06 P4-M is stuck @ 2.4 (12x200) at 1.05V. :( What a waste.

The pin mod won't let you change the multiplier. You can pinmod the BSEL pins to force 133/200 FSB. On some of the newer prescott core mobile CPUs, I think you can use the program EIST to change the multiplier, but I haven't actually done this myself so I can't say for sure.

You can try EIST. There was also a report somewhere that the ATI chipset properly supports mobile CPUs in desktop boards, but I haven't tried this either. Aside from that, no.
