Everyone knows that the Internet is for porn; why are there adult print magazines still in circulation?

Penthouse would be released in a digital format moving forward, with subscriptions transferring to the Penthouse Magazine Website. "This will be a new way for its readers to experience the world's best adult magazine," the company said in a statement. "Reimagined for the preferred consumption of content today by consumers, the digital version of Penthouse Magazine will combine and convert everything readers know and love about the print magazine experience to the power of a digital experience."

End of a era, Playboy is going to continue to sell a print mag without nudity so basically just another Maxim and I just don't see it lasting that long.
 
Well at least this way, the pages won't get stuck together anymore...

As little credibility as there was. There was some credibility being a model/pbotographer/writer for playboy, and various other mags. Maybe not as much for penthouse and hustler.


The Internet is a much better source though for the kinks people are into.

Magazine stuff is too vanilla now.

Neither will Hef for that matter.
 
They had a long, hard run. It's just time to move on. Technology is making many print medium extinct. Either embrace it or hold on for dear life while the paid subscriptions tumble.
 
I'm guessing that they are still maintaining a paid subscription service for digital content, which I can't imagine will work all that well. At least with a magazine you had a tangible object to justify the cost.
 
We still have a 'Sex Shop' (Oh I'll have £5 worth please!") in our city and I cant imagine why it's still there.

It's like sex scenes in mainstream movies and TV. I sit there thinking, "Why are you bothering?". 20+ years ago a bit of sex/boobage was quite welcome in a film, now it just slows the plot down.

Toys. Kinky dvd's & blu-rays. Sex shops are about vibrators and lubricants unavailable in stores elsewhere. i would say online ordering is cutting huge into those places though.

Erm no we have an Ann Summers store in the mall that sells all that plus all the online stores like Lovehoney selling that stuff and more. We even have a 'Love Store' just down the road from here that sells all that stuff too.
