Patreon has started cutting off "adult content creators" for "implied nudity." I are going to go about this a different way. Pay a dollar now or I am sending nudes...of Montu. It will be the best dollar you ever spent. Now for a little pre-4th celebration.

“You can’t use Patreon to raise funds in order to produce pornographic material such as maintaining a website, funding the production of movies, or providing a private webcam session,” the guidelines state.

Shades of 2007 when a certain government bypassed their inconvenient national constitution and hamstrung financial institutions if they didn't enforce mandatory right-wing Christian values in media.

someone needs to start up a site that allows the content Patreon doesn't. should make a killing.

Pr0n patreon ... I had no idea.

I had always wondered if you could start a business where an outside 'investor' funds a 'short film' that he would also star in. If you had all the licenses to produce adult content, etc., it seems like you could charge a lot of money produce some excellent art.

My guess is they are about to go into a nosedive financially.
Apparently they decided they want to be the moralistic police & couldn't even bother to explain what misguided religious viewpoint they were following.
It's just plain an simple religious bigotry against the natural body that these idiots are trying to explain away as something else.

Hopefully Patreon goes bankrupt, their fee model sucks anyways. Time for a truly independent outfit with a much better setup to come in & simply allow people to pay as they wish to the creators they wish to pay for whatever they create that is legal according the the laws both parties are in.

Wouldn't that be up to twitch? Considering you can't have porn on twitch either, I am guessing if twitch banned them, Patreon would follow.

A lot of the girl gamers on twitch use patreon to make even more money, they put their more risque content on patreon and use twitch to funnel horny basement dwellers towards it. Prime example google amouranth, she does this and offers cossplay "lewds" (not nudes) on patreon for like $200 bucks a month

Thought it was a bad idea then and now it is biting those same folks in the butt as some banks are cutting off business that have much to do with guns.

Getting to be hard to be a customer as more businesses implement a 'morality/agenda' filter to weed out the deplorables.

I would say it's different to make the decision yourself to when a government strong arms you into doing it, but you know what? It's not.

These are banks, they need to be a-political. They have too much power to be engaging in bullshit social engineering.

I guess I don't get why this is a big deal. She found a way to make money, and how to use the platforms available to do it. If you don't like it, don't watch her streams or go to her pages. It isn't for me either, but she clearly found her niche, and I am all for her exploiting it.

Can't agree more, same with strippers and booth girls. Good for you making money, I'm not foolish enough to part with any of mine though.

Hope this doesn't mark the start of another company on a moral crusade that will end up on guns too. Forgotten weapons is making so many videos I have trouble keeping up. I'd hate for that to end.

Could always try Librepay. If Patreon won't let you do something a competitor will.

Yeah, I have no problem with it either, was just explaining how they use twitch to drive traffic to patreon.

Good on Patreon for not participating in such degeneracy. Turn your dicks off for a second and realize this is a good thing.

Thanks for trying to keep my dick safe, wish you were here in my teens and twenties.

Really though, maybe worry less about what two consenting adults are doing. The real degenerates are the busy body nannies who want to tell other people what to do.

Shame on Patreon for shoving their belief system on others. Turn your brain on for a second and realize this is a bad thing.

There are very legitimate business decisions here, potentially. Look, stuff like this is how Snapchat came out of the shadows.

Google realized this was a bad business decision with their blogs. Hopefully Patreon will realize the same, unless they're fully committed to the bit of trying to save the wamen.
