Panel Type PAV3? [Display Park 40" 4k]

No it's VA type, misspelled - PVA3, Samsung panel
The IPS tech large format displays are designated only IPS generally, and in some rare cases ADS or ASDS when they are using a panel by BOE.

Think the PVA3 panel is any good?

That’s higher priced than Samsung 40 inch 4K TVs have been selling for, who would buy that?

Samsung's known to ship with screen flicker, if you're using the screen as a monitor sitting a foot or two from your face for an eight hour shift, then the screen flicker could cause headaches -- presupposing you're sensitive to it.

To get rid of the flicker with mine I just set the back light to 10 or higher. Easy fix. And how would you even know if these mystery Korean monitors have PWM flicker or not?
