Palit GeForce 8600 GT Super 1 GB ?

Was wondering why the Palit GeForce 8600 GT Super 1 GB has no external pcie power connection . Thanx

Probably because it doesn't need more power than the PCIE slot can give it. But that's just a guess.

I hadn't heard of a 1gb 8600GT card. That sounds to me like putting diamond ear rings on a turd. Completely useless in the end, and it still looks and smells like a turd. But ooh so shiny ear rings.

Because it doesn't need one? The only 8600GT boards you will usually see with ANY sort of auxiliary power connection will be heavily overclocked ones (675+ mhz core)

It seems like every video card that has more ram than its intended to have is the same as the video card with less ram. In other words it makes no difference.

Thanx For that answer ! just could not figure why a card this size had a cooler that size and no power connector ( It's 550 & 580 with 1 GB of ram ? ) anyway If some one wants it let me no, I got a bran new one ,and I am not goining to use it .pm
