A few days ago my computer wigged out a bit - in WinXP, there was an exclamation mark next to my 8800GTS in the device manager, but in Vista everything was fine. But then I was having strange problems when I would reboot. A couple of times the BIOS forgot my boot order and naturally the boot manager wouldn't come up. So I reformatted and reinstalled XP/Vista dualboot and updated the bios to 2.24.
Not much of an improvement thus far..
1) There's a more of a delay on the Post screen after the initial memcheck / drive listing.
2) A few hours ago, after a reboot, my main Western Digital 250GB SATA disk didn't show up. I went into the BIOS and it wasn't listed. I shut down the computer and started it up again and voila it's back.
My machine is OC'd but cpu temps are pretty low (30C idle, 40s or low 50s during gaming) and in Windows I haven't had any problems.
Is my motherboard or hard drive dying? Would appreciate some help here - THANKS!
