I am curious if your 6800 is able to display the 1680x1050 native resolution of the 2005fpw since the specs say the max resolution is 1600x1200 for flat panels. Any problems or stretching?

Thanks

Well seing as 1600x1200 is a higher resolution than 1680x1050...I would say of course it will work. Plus with any modern nVidia driver you can easily set a custom resolution. That being said, I used a PNY 6800GT on an Apple 20" (1680x1050) and Apple 23" (1920x1200) and they worked fine.

I'm sure you're 100% correct in your statements and that was also my first assumption, but before I plop down $400 or $500 skins on one of these cards I need to be 100% sure it will work great with my monitor without issue. I noticed the 6600's were capable of higher resolutions than the 6800's when used with flat panels, so that made me a bit nervous as well.

My concern is that the width exceeds the spec (1680 vs 1600) and if any owners of both items have encountered any issues due to that. My interest is also in how the two act together and if any owners of the 6800's and the 2005 FPW have any complaints or praise about the two.

I have a 6800 ultra and have no problems running at native resolution. Was pretty easy to set up. Everything is bright and crisp, but watching TV on it kinda sucks. The 6800 seems to handle the higher res decently enough in most games as well.

I have a 6800gt and a 2005fpw and have no problems at 1680x1050, and I can run hl2 and wow on high settings, although not with aa all the way up.

6800GT here, and 2005fpw. no problem running desktop or games 1680x1050

Just don't run it in SLI mode!!!
You WILL get the jitters, when trying to run
in widescreen mode. 16:9
This sucks!
NVidia please fix this problem!!!!
