Never could figure out what the problem was and the replacement doesn't look much different?

What's the big deal.

Yeah chicks have butts and men like butts and woman do too for that matter. Even haggard ugly angry women love butts, even if they hate on them at the same time, because they are jealous.

Of all the confusing and idiotic controversies over gender and video games that have occurred the past year or so, this one is by far the most confusing and idiotic.

Blizzard changed a generic over-the-shoulder pose to a sultry pin up pose, and now they're being praised for their progressive attitude towards female representation. I don't understand this one bit.

At first I thought this was all about the tight pants, but apparently the character's yoga pants are a non-factor. Instead, this is all based on some psuedo-intellectual complaint about her glance. Or the way she was glancing? Or how a male might interpret her glance? Or....I have no fucking clue. Every thing I've read about this is laden with sociology 101 buzzwords like "presenting" and "agency".

Game looks like fun though.

I dunno, in that original pose she's definitely doing the 'hooker stance'. Seymour knows that stance all too well.

People today worry way too much about what others are doing and ignore their own faults.

My interpretation was that this was Blizzard saying "Fuck you" to the SJW's wanting the pose replaced.

The new pose is modeled after a 1940s pin up poster.

Somebody felt offended so the whole world wide fuckfest of a web blew up.

Is the problem that she's wearing tight pants? If she were wearing baggy pants would anyone have said anything about the original pose? Yoga pants strike again...

She's wearing a bodysuit. There's not much they can do to avoid showing her butt.

I want to see the SJW reply to this. I don't know if I think it's sexier but I can totally guess the reaction to this.

This feels like a trolling stunt. I approve whole heartedly.

Yup. they are trolling hard and I applaud them for that. Now, i am usually against sexualisation just for the sake of cheap juvenile T&A but nowadays things are going too way too far i think. Glad to see Blizzard giving a middle finger to SJW zealots. :D

Blizzard has put more into this PR stunt than the mechanics of the game. They're the TMZ of videogames at this point. Another CoD, just another genre.

People need to realize much of this is politics.

As in, all you need is a group of overly excitable people, and one person on the political payroll to play the part of a true believer while directing their ire at a desired target.

Sounds silly, even ridiculous I know, but where I am from, we see it all the time (Chicago). No noble cause is too noble to be usurped and corrupted by politicians, and the people who were doing good work are no longer doing so, they are doing "their" work, with the issues intentionally conflated.

It's where that stupid 1%er movement came from, as well as others that gain public noteriety.

Ahh, the good old days when women looked elegant and beautiful. Not these days when like that image you can't tell if it's a he, she or it???

Just make the character fat already so chicks who have given up can feel better about their poor dietary choices and sedentary lifestyles. Otherwise you're just being a misogynistic pig or some shit.

I like the nod to the type of pinup art that used to decorate the nose of old bombers given that Tracer is supposed to be a pilot. Great job Blizzard!

It still looks more like a boy than a girl anyways. People should 've been complaining about not making females look like females instead of confused male teens lol

glad they fixed it and took from the 40's, a time when women were respected and treated as gender equals as a response to this obviously derogatory depiction of women. (y)

LW3 is now saying to remove Tracer from the game completely to "...avoid any issues." She also gives her "technical expertise" as to why the character is "problematic." But I think she is just dying for attention now that her Patreon money is starting to dry up.

SJWs have moved on to the next cultural outrage:

Gap Pulls Ad Called 'Racist,' Apologizes to Critics
You know, I had to read the complaint about the ad to see what the big deal was because I didn't see what was wrong with it. I guess that makes me racist because I don't see skin color as the first trait of people... All I saw were a bunch of kids making silly poses as kids often do.

Yes, all female characters are designed to fit your personal opinion of what's feminine. Skinny girls don't exist!

You're nearly as bad as the crazy feminists.

Seriously.... Who the fuck cares about any of this?! People are trying to hard to get offended by everything and anything just to stir up shit and cause a controversy where there should be absolutely none.

My first reaction was they all look bored and or slightly sad except the one kid. It's really a pretty shitty ad pic for a product.

At least she was able to twist her body around enough to show off those butt cheeks as opposed to that old pinup poster.

Seymour's a firm believer that bad publicity is good publicity, Blizzard really needs to up the ante and have her do some twerking.

My wife told me about this last night, I told her she should create a twitter account to complain about the lack of Asians represented in the commercial...and then back track when they flip shit to 'fix' it quickly. Just to let everyone know how stupid all of this micro agression/security blanket crap is. I'll let you know if she does it.

Doesn't look like a boy to me. But then, I love short hair on women.
