I can reach a 3.6 on this chip, any higher and it won't boot to windows........the chip runs at like 31-32c idle and like 47-49c full load I have a ton of cooling 7 fans and a good copper heat sink.......using good ole silver #5.........what I want to know most ppl I have talked to about this can get this chip up or beyond 4ghz is my ram holding me back? I am running cruical 512 ddr pc 2700....ohh and I haven't uped the volts on either the ram or the chip....would that help....if so what should I up it to? the board I am runnnin is a gigabyte p4 titan ga-8ipe1000 pro rev 1.0 bios are fully updated........plz help if u can...and remember I am still new to this thanx :)

Damn, learn to write.

In answer to your question, try upping the voltage to 1.6-1.65, and try taking DOWN the PAT for the RAM.

well I upped the volts on the cpu to 1.72 and still nothing ......it won't boot to windows......

Your RAM is probably limiting your overclock because it is only PC2700. As you raise the fsb of the cpu you are also raising the fsb of the RAM. Higher clocked RAM and a better heatsink/fan should help you with overclocking. Also, it could be your motherboard, but since I have had no experience with it I have no idea.

sumone said that it wasn't my ram......hummm I am still at a loss
