Outlook deleting my incoming email??

I am having a problem with Outlook and dissapearing email. I hit the send and recieve button and the message about recieving new mail shows up in the corner but the recieved mail does not appear in my inbox. I have checked my other folders but still can't find my new emails. I also deleted a ton of old emails but still nothing shows up in my inbox. Any thoughts on why this is happening and what can be done about it?

I am using Office 2000 on WinXP SP2, with Norton 2002.

Okay I think I found the problem. It looks like my ISP forgot to inform me that I was out of storage space

Luckily I switched to Outlook Express and was able to sort things out, I hope...

I unchecked the "Keep copy of emails on server" option and now it looks like I can recieve email once again. Unfortunately it looks like I lost 10 days worth of email

You can do this with Outlook as well you know.
