    Hello

I have lost my emails within a folder in MS-Outlook without any warning. The folder still exists but all emails within have disappeared. I don't beleive that I ever inadvertently deleted the contents no I have any filter applied.
Any suggestions in recovering emails will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Outlook 2002 is known to have "database" issues at times. Hopefully you have a backup PST file that you can restore but if not I believe you are out of luck.

I assume you're talking about Outlook that is not using an Exchange Server and being delivered to a PST (Personal Folders) file? First of all, do not run a compress on the PST file and stop using the PST file. Make a copy of it otherwise new email will overwrite the space marked as deleted in the file (similar to a file system).

These seem cheap, don't know what works:

    http://www.recovermails.com

    http://www.recoverytoolbox.com/outlook.html

You might download a demo of each and see if they have any reporting features on what they can recover.

Never used any of those though. We use this at work:

I swear by it, but its not cheap.

Sorry, I don't know of any free utilities. There are plenty of expensive ones though.

If you were connected to an Exchange server and the Deleted Item Dumpster was turned on, I could tell you how to recover instantly.
