OTA Antenna Recommendations needed

Comcast is going to start encrypting all channels in my area in December. What I am looking to do is remover the Dish that is on my roof and replace it with an OTA antenna to hook up to my htpc. Has anyone done this and what antenna have you used? Thanks in advance.

Current setup is an AMD X2 with some Asrock AM3+ board, 8gb ram, gtx 240, 3tb hard drive, generic dvd, ATI and Hauppage hd tv tuners running on Vista with Beyond TV not that it matters.

There are many different types of OTA antennas (directional vs multi-directional and etc.), and there is no one antenna that will work best for every situation.

Your first step is going to be to visit a broadcast mapping website such as http://www.antennaweb.org/ to gather more information regarding what stations are available to you along with their distances and orientations relative to your home. From there you will be able to narrow down what type of antenna you require.

http://www.antennaweb.org/ is the place to go to see what class of antenna is needed.

Then you can buy an antenna of the proper class from whereever you want.

I have a mohu leaf, but that may not be suitable for you.
