I use Macrium Reflect for my backups ,My question is, how much faster is the new drive? My old drive is an 5400 rpm. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The usual stat is about 20% faster, but that only takes into account the speed. There are many factors and we can't give a real estimate without more information about both drives.

the new drive has a USB 3 . I will look further into it. Thanks for the reply. My apology, Old drive in an 275GB Crucial SSD ..I made a mistake ,sorry.

No, I want to use the hdd as a destination drive from the SSD Drive. And do a full backup to the hdd.

I think that 5tb Toshiba with 128mb cache is a good deal etc...That's hell of a drive.

Hi there,
I just installed the new hdd and the backup is much faster then the old ssd. I don't understand why a hdd is faster then my old ssd. It backsup at a rating of 1.3gb/s .
