Online Capacity expansion Linux and rocket raid 222x

I did a online capacity expansion on my Centos (basicaly Redhat enterprise) box and it shows the expansion went fine in the management tool, but when I look at the drive from a Windows box and do a DF in linux it looks like the same ammount of space is free. Is this typical? Do I need to reboot? (I would hate to reboot and then loose everything!)

Now you should have free space that you can partition.. it wouldn't have expanded the partitions.

I am not familiar with the HPT222x series, but I'd imagine that you need to expand three things (in order):
Array
Partition(s)
Filesystem

for it to be available to be used.
