Hah, that's ironic. One of the two HDMI ports on my TX-SR605 just died over the weekend.

I lost an Onkyo receiver three weeks ago with a dead faceplate, replaced it with a H/K receiver I had as a spare. The H/K keeps shutting itself off and going into protection mode. I'm feeling lucky!
