Following the announcement that YouTube would be banning videos that relate to selling firearms and accessories, YouTube channel InRangeTV is moving their content to Pornhub, according to a cNet report. This happens nearly a year after InRangeTV demonetized all its videos. InRangeTV stated on it's Facebook Page:

"YouTube's newly released vague and one-sided firearms policy makes it abundantly clear that YouTube cannot be counted upon to be a safe harbor for a wide variety of views and subject matter. PornHub has a history of being a proactive voice in the online community, as well as operating a resilient and robust video streaming platform."

With all the happenings going on with YouTube, it seems like it would be a wise move for Pronhub and branch out with a couple of other sites for non X-Rated content (GunHub anyone?). InRangeTV has nearly 150k subscribers, and focuses on firearm and accessories reviews, it is hosted by Karl Kasarda and Ian McCollum from the extremely popular Forgotten Weapons channel.

Who would ever think pronhub would be the place people get their jollies off and become a real competitor to YouTube. I hope they decide to take on YouTube and gives the finger to all the liberal bull shit. Hell what the worst that could happen? Google buy them out? I think it would be a smart move for them to take on YouTube now with all the bad press it has been getting

That's what I'm hoping for as well, obviously Pornhub has the infrastructure to host a massive amount of video content, so I'd love for them to come up with a second site to compete with YouTube

VideoHub - where YouTube creators end up.

All they'd have to do is target the policies that the creators have been hurt by. They'd also have to create more friendly advertising for the site, as they can't have the popups and porn pictures everywhere. That could prove the tricky part.

A lot of YouTube policies are kneejerk reactions from the advertisers. Large sponsors have quite a lot of pull with companies. Look at the WrestleMania stuff that was in the news last week, Snickers got the WWE to change a match name when they stupidly named it after a horrible (borderline sex trafficker) person. All because fans took their complaints directly to Snickers, lol.

Not a free speech issue though. YouTube is not a government platform, so they're not bound to offer fair speech protection. Their platform their rules.
What I mean by free speech is the ability to research and see videos on subjects that aren’t illegal.

I should have differentiated.
Porn already saved free speech.

Free speech is intended to protect "offensive" speech, as "unoffensive" speech doesn't need to be protected.
So guns are like porn now. Nice. One website to rule them all :p

I wonder if Demo Ranch will follow them.

On another matter: perhaps not GunHub. Perhaps ViceHub?

trust me, 90% of the population has no idea what free speech is and won't understand what you are trying to tell them. Wouldn't be surprised if one of the next 4 post wasn't somebody trying to "educate" you.

I can pick a random word out of the dictionary, and it would offend some fucktard, somewhere on the planet. so, yes, all speech is potentially offensive to someone, and needs protected.

didn't even hit submit before my last comment became true.

No one is stopping you from looking at that stuff. This is not a free speech issue, and what you are describing is not free speech. You can go find all the guns and porn and any other legal content on any site that wants to allow it.

They’re the 600 pound gorilla in the video hosting room and they’ve traditionally allowed it. That puts gun video enthusiasts out because they won’t have that huge catalog of videos anymore.
I never said they can’t ban what they want, they’ve banned porn.

Enough of this nonsense. Free speech /= 1st Amdendment. 1st Amendment guarantees that the federal government will not hinder the freedom of speech. A right is a right, whether it is a legal standing or simply a principle. "Free Speech" is a principle that we should care about, and should be deeply concerned about censorship in a public platform, especially one with the pull and sway of Google.

I'm sure all the conservative christian gun-lovers will have no problems with this move...oh wait lol

so. Just to make sure it is clear, fuck you Kyle and all mods who ban people for not following your bullshit rules on Hardocp, or locking what you consider to be off topic threads. You have no right to decide what people can and can't do or say and are limiting free speech. So unblock those people and threads right now....

pretty sure that will happen right away haha.

back on topic. Now they I think about it I seem to recall from some previous article that some stuff made it's way to porn hub before don't recall what it was now. So it will be interesting to see if they don't spawn up a side site for none porn videos.

As long as all the filth hangs out in one place...

Good, ill be working on a lr-308 build this summer, so ill need my videos :D

As said, this really is a perfect opportunity for porn hub to take over. I bet youtube pulls back on this in the end.

Gun videos alone have millions of subscribed users. As others have mentioned this is a massive opportunity.

I don't think the Youtube and Facebook censorship of legal gun related activities is the simple case of "Their site, their rules" that many think it is. That argument was shot down decades ago when private restaurants were told they couldn't ban black folk despite the "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone." signs.

How fitting would it be for porn to save free speech.
This is NOT a free speech issue. Google doesn't have an obligation to let your post how to make install a bumpstock video or how to turn your semi-automatic weapon into an automatic weapon, just like they don't have to post videos of 2 people fucking.

If you and others think this is a money maker, go out and create a GunTube site. You'll make a fortune. I'm sure the NRA and the companies that finance them will advertise on your site.

This is awesome news, I would think one could have 2 loaded weapons now while browsing.....one in each hand.....no telling which would go off first......LOL

OMFG that is a weak analogy.

This isn't them not serviing people who own guns. You can own a gun and post on FB or YouTube about enumerable topics. you just can't show how to install a bumpstock or whatever. FYI, you can't post porn on FB or YouTube either. Where's your moral outrage?

GunHub?! I don't want to know what they'd be polishing or shooting as it sounds like the internet's next gay hotspot!

YOu mean you don't jerk the gherkin when you see someone polishing the barrel of a gun? You should probably see a doctor about that. ;)

I demand they also begin hosting music videos.

That way we can have Sex, Guns, and Rock and Roll.

While I'm glad they have another outlet, I can't listen/watch a video hosted on pornhub while at work. Hopefully they will find another site to upload their videos.

Youtube has been banning more than just "bump stock" videos, which aren't illegal anyways, regardless of any executive order to re-interpret old laws.

Just had my yearly physical and the doc said I was in very good health:) I have no problem with MF, MFF and even MFM (so long as the M's aren't into one another). However, I'd be more than torn in having to decide which screen was to receive my attention- The one with the teen and the big gun ot the one with a big gun and a teen:eek::D

You can do both if you know how to get past the algorithms. Hell, there's entire Hollywood and anime movies on YouTube right now that the respectful parties/rights owners would be flipping their shit over if they knew they were uploaded. I've even seen full movie uploads on FB.

If you knew how much porn slipped past either, you'd question why they even bothered.

The first amendment doesn't apply to private business which is true, but one point I haven't seen discussed is whether or not the internet is owned by the government and if using the internet to operate your business doesn't include that you must follow restrictions imposed on the government itself?

I know at work we looked into bidding on government contracts and to do so we would have had to include in our policy at work restrictions including no religious content during work hours on campus and implement recycling policies that were in sync with those of government run agencies and other such things. One employee included "God Bless" in his email signature and that would have had to be removed if we got the government contract. So does the fact that YouTube operates on the internet which was created by the government require it to also follow the government rules on freedom of speech?

I know this is a popular position among the leftists who seek to silence those they disagree with, but the fact is that YouTube acts as a de facto public square. They present themselves as an open forum, moderated without bias but merely to enforce rules that have long governed free speech in public spaces, like banning threats of physical violence or pornographic content.

The message is that the 2nd Amendment will be unilaterally abolished by the left's corporate friends. Those who dare oppose that view will find their 1st Amendment rights also curtailed wherever the left has the ability to do so. You will be treated no differently than an ISIS spokesman. We will enter the final phase of incrementally disarming the citizenry when the (D)'s get back into office.

And if you think that's an exaggeration, it wasn't long ago liberal papers were publishing the names and home addresses of pistol license holders. A tactic intended to shame and strike fear into the hearts of those who dared exercise their Constitutional right.

Just listen to the children marching today. The left's little props are saying "by any means necessary" and calling anyone who disagrees a "murderer". It's justified to do just about anything to stop a murderer, right?

OMFG what a load of horseshit. I first heard this argument come from the right, not the left, so get over it. YouTube has the right to allow or disallow whatever they want (unless said content is itself illegal)..

Your crazy talk that this somehow abolishes the 2nd ammendment is also a load of horseshit. The 2nd ammendment doesn't guarantee your right to post videos about guns.

You know how the 2nd ammendment gets rescinded? By a constitutional amendment. Can your rights be somewhat curtailed. Hell yes. This absolutist POV is relatively new. Back in the day if you went into Dodge City, they took your guns away. As recently as the late 60s, the NRA supported gun restrictions. http://time.com/4431356/nra-gun-control-history/

That's one of the most succinct and well-stated defenses of free speech within a private context that I've seen. Thanks :)
