Sometimes one of my fans won't spin on a certain card. If I start it spinning myself it's fine. But when I restart the computer the fan doesn't spin from a stop.

How can I fix this permanently? Some sort of lubricant?

One of mine died as well, I ripped off the factory fans and stuck 2 x 90mm fans on there, now the card won't break 65deg on a hot day! :p

Also be careful when messing with the heatsink, if you move it around too much you'll need to re-apply thermal paste.

I can still return this card but I don't want to. A RMA would take a long time. Is there any other option?

The fan works fine once I give it a flick.

you want to risk your card and your warranty on second guessing crap rma it man i mean would you buy a car with a flat tire?

I'd check if they would cross ship you one. But they would need to put a hold on a card till they get your defective one back.

The Amazon rep said they would put a hold on the next available one on Amazon to ship as a replacement. I've never heard of that happening before, so hopefully it actually works.
