I bought an extremely high end PSU in 2011 - and by all standards it still outpaces a lot of what's around today. (8 +12v rails.... mmmm...)

Antec High Current Pro HCP-1200
Antec High Current Pro HCP-1200 1200W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Yes, High Current Hybrid Cable Management Active PFC Power Supply-Newegg.com

If I build a brand-new system today - should I worry about the PSU? It has never had any issues, and always been on the otherside of a voltage regulated battery backup.

To give an idea of what I'm planning to build:
Intel i7-6900K
MSI X99A SLI KRAIT EDITION Mobo
32GB G.Skill Ripjaws 4
GTX1080-TI (Single - whenever it comes out) -OR- GTX1080 SLi

GTX 1080ti single- 500 watts max.
GTX 1080 SLI- 650 watts max.

Considering how much you're underloading it, you're fine for a long time.

Thanks guys - I figured as much... I haven't kept up with the PSU world nearly as much as I have the MoBo/CPU/GPU world... Just wanted the piece of mind of other eyes confirming my hopes.

I appreciate the feedback.
