Old Asus board and 64 bit athlon ?

I have a Asus K8V basic mobo, 754 pin, will a mobile 4000+ (Newark @2.6 Ghz, these had 1024 L2 cache) work in this board?
 
is that the k8v-mx mobo ?
if that is it on asus cpu list it did list any mobile chip's .
 
The highest I can see on their list is a 3700. I believe my mobile is based off the FX line, its possible there is no support for it with this board but maybe someone tried it and it worked? I'll see if I still have the box for it and check it out tomorrow, see what it says wether its -mx or not.
 
i still have my old k8v asus too
the compatible Mobo's are.chaintech VNF-250 MSI and DFI are the three manufactures that i have found so far.
